Stayed at Clayton Days Inn for 1 night during an out of town job. Was a good value, Mexican restaurant next door was good. Hotel was budget friendly but don't think I would choose for a vacation stay. It worked for what we needed it for, just old
and dated but fairly clean and comfortable.
The rooms are run down, I reserved a king-sized bed and was told when I checked in the room had a king-sized bed, it was not. The a/c never got the room cold. the fridge didn't get cold, I wasn't able to use the wifi in the room, only in the motel
office, the breakfact was less than mediocre. But other than that, the room was clean, the water was hot and the pressure was nice.
The check-in lady seemed disappointed that I had gotten a discounted room . She assigned us the room closest to the noisy street, and explained that the arrangements were pre-paid. We ran the room heater to hide the noise. She changed room
description. This was our 45th anniversary, so wanted to focus on the positives. The "owner" was nice enough, and a bit helpful. Have used this motel for years, but the check-in lady only twice, and hopefully no more. Other staff are fine, esp.housekeepers.Thanks .
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Cupboard Cafe in Dillard, Delicious food, and great food and servers
Ok, clean and acceptable, but worn out, and bland. Clean sheets and comfortable bed. Nice people, but glad to leave. Again, not bad, just nothing special. Had given away our reserved king sized bed too.
I booked this hotel to drop my daughter off at camp- it was me, my daughter, her friend and my friend. No husbands were with us. Our room was above the mexican restaurant where people (workers) were hanging out outside all night drinking beers.
Its not safe for women- Our room smelled like urine- I walked in and walked out and stayed down the street- now I am trying to get $ back!
