First Time Stay At This Facility
We visit this area every New Years. We use this motel brand on our infrequent travels and have always enjoyed our stays but on New Years day breakfast, this facility ran out of spoons, fruit for cereal and boiled eggs. Not a very nice begining for a new year. The desk clerk did put out spoons when it was brought to his attention.

Close to where we had to be
A relative from overseas works on a ship and made port in Brunswick, GA. We drove up to see him while he was in the area. Found out about the continental breakfast during check-out. :(

Over 60 Traveler
Unbeatable location for the price
Nice hotel, clean, breakfast provided. However, the toilet in our room stopped up 3 times. Although, the front desk manager fixed the situation in a short time, it was an inconvenience. He apologized for the low-flow toilet and told us to hold the handle down, which we did but that didn't work either. The housekeeping staff was way overworked but did an excellent job. The pool was a refreshing addition.

The Shak had delicious oysters and seafood platter. Alcohol is not served until 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Good, Clean Lodging
Perfectly fine lodging for the overnight traveler who is tired of fighting the non-driving idiots who populate I-95 and wants to relax for a little while. Clean room and a decent continental breakfast, convenient location.

great location and price
It was the perfect distance from St. Simon's Island for the price. The only complaint had nothing to do with the hotel. Our neighbor above us seemed to be doing jumping jacks all night! Compared to previous trips, it was good. I have stayed in more high-brow hotels through orbits in the past for less, but it was during an off season.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
St. Simons Island is one big shopping center. It has everything you want within a 20 min. drive. There is also a Target and Old Navy complex in Brunswick before you get to the Island.

Unbeatable LOCATION FOR THE PRICE
We were very tired and appreciated the comfort of the room. WE thought we would use the laptop but fell asleep immediately. Everything we needed was available. The breakfast was very good.

Nice place, good value
This was a good place to stay for a few days with excellent access to the Golden Isles and Brunswick. Clean and tidy room, surprisingly comfortable bed, extremely friendly and helpful staff. The only down sides were that the phone and internet in our room didn't work, and housekeeping kept taking our soap and not leaving new bars (which was more amusing than anything else). Those are very minor things, though, and the overall experience was good. Would definitely stay here again.

Nicest Receptionist in the Northern Hemi
My boy and I were looking for a place to stay overnight on our way to Florida. We found La Quinta for low rates. Simply put, it is a perfectly average hotel.
