We switched from another brand hotel due to this one being a little less expensive and had a nice looking pool with lounge chairs (the one we moved from did not have lounge chairs). It was also less expensive. The room was "okay"; nothing to get
excited about. The pool was okay but cool. There were 3 kids from the neighborhood who came to the pool; didn't look like they were staying at the hotel. Staff were painting stairwells, so several were roped off and had to go out of the way to get to our room. Front desk staff should have been aware of this and not put people in those rooms. Breakfast was okay, nothing great.
We read bad reports on the reviews but we found it really good. For the price, you can't go wrong. Everything was great, including the breakfast. What more could you want for that price. The staff were great and very helpful.
Check-in was fast and easy, but once in the room everything slid south. The trash can was full from the previous guest. The switch was broken off the bedside lamp. The alarm clock was inoperable. The tub was so black and dirty I wouldn't use it or
the shower. The furniture was stained. I slept in clothing so as not to have contact with any bedding. The matted carpet cried out to wear footwear at all times. There was a pervasive bad odor inside the room (paper mill nearby). But worst of all, there was no COLD water. It was scalding hot, prompting me to fill the sink with ice from the machine to shave and wash up. Deplorable overall. This chain is off my list as a future stopover.
Very bad experiance. Clerk at desk told me she did not know when the room would be ready. It was already past check in time and she stated that she could not tell me when my room would be ready. The is the last time I will stay at Days Inn. It
was the second time I have had a bad experiance with this chain. Please beware!
