Room Musty

Room was musty smelling, bathroom was clean, but smelled like clorox. Walls had stains on them. Sheets were gray.

great night's sleep

We stopped overnight going on the next day to our final destination. Restaurants were convenient. It was a quick hop from the interstate. The rooms were clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good experience.

Enjoyed my stay

I stayed here on June 27-30, 2010 while in town for a convention. The hotel is clean and attractive, didn't look run down at all. The attractive lady at the service counter in the afternoon/evening was very friendly and helpful every time I interacted with her. Though the hotel appeared to be moderately booked with military personnel attending training as well as other vacationers, it was very quiet throughout my stay. The room and bathroom were very clean and were cleaned every day along with the bedsheets. Toiletries in the bathroom included soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair net. I appreciated the free wifi, mini-microwave and mini-fridge (though the fridge did freeze everything.) The coffeemaker came in handy to make tea. The continental breakfast is what's expected: singe-serving cereal, danishes, muffins, bagels, waffles, milk, apple juice, orange juice, coffee, tea. Bottom line, I had a great stay at this Ramada with everything I wanted at a great value, having booked online a couple of months in advance.

Scammed at the Masters

I booked this trip in the beginning of September as a birthday present for my father. When he and my mother arrived they were told the hotel was over booked. They were offered an "equal" room at the Days Inn. When they arrived at the Days Inn they were taken to the "equal" room. As the bell hop opened the door, he sprayed air freshener because the "equal" room was a smoking room. The room wreaked of smoke so badly that my parents were unable to stand it. They asked for a different room and were given a standard room in the Days Inn. The Ramada is a 3 star hotel and the Days Inn is a 2 star hotel but [...] hotel management refused to give us a refund for the difference of the rooms. I understand that the Master's golf tournament is a hectic time in Augusta, GA and mistakes can be made but it is wrong to take advantage of customers once they have already traveled to a destination. All I asked for was a refund for the diffence in the two rooms and everytime I called or my parents went to the front desk to speak to a manager we were told he/she was not available.

Good Hotel

It was a nice clean hotel at a good price. Mini fridge and microwave in rooms was nice. The only complaint would be that the curtains in the rooms did not block out the outside security lights at night. The decor was nice but outdated. Close to many good restaurants. The continental breakfast was adequate. Need new beds.

Creeped Out

NEVER AGAIN

The first room they gave me had a heater/air conditioner that was so noisy I had to move to another room immediately. The second room had a newly replaced window, with a hole in the screen, the shears and the curtain. I followed the direction of the path, and believe it or not, there was a bullet lodged in the wall next to the door. Talk about getting creeped out!

Surprisingly poor service and conditions

The Ramada - Augusta was not very comfortable or friendly. Check in took too long; the room was not very clean and pleasing to be in for 3 days/nights over the Labor Day weekend. Believe it or not the room was not cleaned or made up on Saturday, August 30. Bathroom linens were left, but the 2 beds were not made up nor was coffee etc. left in the room. We returned at 9:30 pm and I had to make a point of requesting that such a mistake never happen again. On Sunday the room was made up but no coffee left. The cleanliness, service and front desk responses were the worst I have experienced since my visit to Russia in 1975. We were relieved to check out on Monday, Sept. 1, '08.
