The true spirit of Southern hospitality lives on at the University Inn, where a friendly staff and quiet setting will make you feel at home, even in the middle of the big city. Located across a tree-lined street from the stroller*s paradise of the Emory University campus, the University Inn*s French-accented brick facade, graced by window boxes full of flowers and cheerful awnings, distinguishes it from the big downtown Hotels. Despite a residential setting, the Inn offers easy access to museums, shopping, and fine dining. You can easily enjoy a pool-side continental breakfast, spend your morning in downtown*s acclaimed Underground Atlanta shopping district, and still be back in time for an afternoon swim. First-time visitors will be pleasantly surprised by a congenial staff that greets you by name and provides afternoon tea that is part of the Inn*s thirty year history of hospitality. Each large, beautifully decorated guest room is designed to meet the needs of business and leisure travelers alike, with color cable TV*s, telephones with computer jacks, microwave ovens and refrigerators.

Great location -large, comfortable beds

We were there for only one night, but found it to be a very nice experience. Our granddaughter enjoyed the pool (it maybe could have been a little cleaner, but wasn't bad) and we enjoyed sitting near and enjoying the blooming flowers and shrubs. The room was large enough and very clean.

university inn

Very close to Emory University. Friendly and helpful staff. The plaster on the walls was cracked and loose on the walls. Only one bed in the room was made after our first day. Nothing cleaned. We came in, one bed is made, the other was just as we left it. Kind of odd.

Staying near Emory

The motel is quite adequate and does try to add a few amenities such as breakfast and a wine hour. My only complaint is that the water never got above warm and had very little pressure.
