Perfect

Would recommend Wed, Dec 7, 2011
The Staff who checked us in remembered us at check out. All of the staff were great and more than accomodating. When we requested things they were at our door within minutes. Very impressive. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION was great. We were within walking distance to the Dome and all the other events we wanted to go to. This hotel was central to all the shopping and restaurants downtown also. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!

Not what you expect from Westin Hotels

Would not recommend Tue, Nov 29, 2011
We were disappointed in our stay for the first time at a Westin. The room was run down, plumbing had serious issues. Even though the hotel is being renovated your expect a certain level of quality at a Westin. Additionally, though the reservation was made in two steps (we decided to extend our visit from our original reservation) the staff could not get it straight, after checking twice we were still locked out of our room an extreme inconvenience. At this point I would not return to the Peachtree Westin.

Entertainment hint

The electric car tour was great. 5 people, the driver was one of the owners, knew his history was very personable.

Just does the job

Would not recommend Wed, Nov 16, 2011
The location is great but the name is all you get. I couldn't tell any difference between the Westin and a Holiday Inn.

Dining

Don't go to the Hard Rock for the food. Just the atmosphere.

Disappointed

Would not recommend Tue, Nov 1, 2011
We came down to Atlanta to watch a Georgia Tech football game. The location of the hotel was great however the room was not so great....The room was dirty when we got in, it was a very small room, and the bed was very uncomfortable. For the price of the hotel and the room service it did NOT match up to the overall quality of the hotel.

Attractions

The location of the hotel was great and the walk to attractions was not a bad walk at all.

Awesome View!

Would recommend Mon, Oct 3, 2011
The view is AMAZING! All of downtown Atlanta can be seen from the upper floors (we stayed on the 65th). You can even see mountains on the horizon. The location is great, as all the attractions are within walking distance or just a short train ride away. The train station is less than a block away. Dining at the hotel's Sundial restuarant was also a unique experience. The food, service and spinning/panoramic view were all great. To address areas of improvement, an update of room decor is in order. We asked to switch rooms for that reason, and staff was happy to oblige. However, the change of rooms they offered was not much different in terms of quality. The view was not as good, so we stayed put. We did have noisy neighbors late one night, but security addressed the issue right away. I would love to see this hotel updated, but I'd definitely stay again.

Dining

Dinner at the Sundial is a must! The rotating view of Atlanta's night skyline is impressive.

Excellent Stay!

Would recommend Wed, Sep 28, 2011
The hotel is a lovely hotel inside and out. You'll love the pool and rotating restaurant on the 72nd floor. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. I spoke with Sandra on the phone around 3 am the day before my check-in to request an early check-in due to my flight schedule and she accomodated me right away! When I got there check-in was a breeze - not to mention it was on a busy weekend. Thanks Sandra, and all the great Westin Hotel Staff! You guys are the best and I will be back everytime I come to Atlanta!

Nothing special

Would not recommend Mon, Sep 26, 2011
The hotel was fine, but I did expect more from a Westin. It was run down and my view was terrible, as I was only on the 15th floor. The wall was thin as I could hear my neighbor's TV and their alarm in the AM. The parking situation was a little hectic (and expensive @$29/night) as they were doing construction but I never had to wait for my car. I thought being downtown would be great, but few things were open and most restaurants were chains -- not something I was interested in. The area around the hotel got a little rowdy, but I did overhear someone say that this hotel was "Not drunk friendly." So take that as you may. The only benefit I could see was that you could walk to the Coke Museum, CNN, the Underground, and the Olympic Park. But I wouldn't stay there again.

DragonCon hotel

Would recommend Wed, Sep 7, 2011
I stayed here for the five days of DragonCon. CheckIn was easy - very gracious staff every time I spoke to anyone, even though the weekend was crazy. My only thing to fix would be the elevator snafu. I was on 39 and it seemed like we always had to go up to get down again. I heard that staying in the upper floors for the other elevators helped the congestion A LOT, so advise staying in the upper half instead. Maybe 46 and above? Beautiful view with floor to ceiling windows and the room was quiet. Sign up for your free Starwood Preferred Guest card before you stay and get free extended checkout until 4pm. Also got free early checkin. Starbucks in the building!!! Information booth directly outside for anything about Atlanta you want to know. Massage staff have a chiropractor also! Hard Rock Cafe diagonal across the street.

Awesome!

Would recommend Tue, Sep 6, 2011
I stayed there for the duration of DragonCon. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, the room was kept clean and tidy, awesome! My only regret is that the WiFi, which seems to be free in many places now, was amazing 15-20$ per day - to a heavy Internet junkie like myself, that's a hidden cost right there. Ew.
