Thought it would be nicer.
We were there for market. The hotel it self was not bad. My biggest complaint was the room was a little run down cracks in the walls in both the room and the hallways. Also bad smell in the hallway. The front desk was very accommodating. But the maid service did not clean the coffie machine or empty all the trash. I do have to complement them on the most comfortable beds in any hotel I have ever stayed in.

Decent if going to AmericasMart
The reason for the trip was to go to AmericasMart which is very conveniently attached via walking tunnel to the Westin Peachtree. For that reason alone it was worth it to stay at this hotel. We have stayed there many times, upwards of 7x's, and we had never had a worse experience than this recent trip. We walked into a stifling hot room. Considering we were on one of the very top floors, I am thinking it might not be used on a regular basis and the A/C hadn't been running consistently. We then noticed that the bed was sloppily made, linens/sheets haphazardly thrown on the bed and spilling out of the sides. The furniture looked super beat up... sort of like they had said "Oh no! We have people coming that are gonna stay in that room. Go to the warehouse and get that old raggedy furniture we had tossed out and just throw it all in there!" The bean shaped couch was all torn up on the bottom and you could see all the batting torn and dragging on the floor. Because of the heat in the room upon our arrival, I checked the mini bar to get an overpriced water, to no avail. The mini fridge was COMPLETELY empty. I called down to see what the deal was and get it stocked, after all they had given me the fridge key when I checked in. I was told, quite rudely, that I would have to order if I wanted anything and that the mini bars are no longer stocked. This, however, I knew was a lie considering when I checked in I, as well as the woman before me, were asked if we would like keys to the mini bar. I didn't make a big deal, didn't seem worth it, but was definitely annoyed. Overall it teetered between the poor and barely average level. Unless you are going to AmericasMart and want the easiest commute possible, DON'T STAY HERE. There are plenty of nicer hotels around.

Nothing special
The hotel was fine, but I did expect more from a Westin. It was run down and my view was terrible, as I was only on the 15th floor. The wall was thin as I could hear my neighbor's TV and their alarm in the AM. The parking situation was a little hectic (and expensive @$29/night) as they were doing construction but I never had to wait for my car. I thought being downtown would be great, but few things were open and most restaurants were chains -- not something I was interested in. The area around the hotel got a little rowdy, but I did overhear someone say that this hotel was "Not drunk friendly." So take that as you may. The only benefit I could see was that you could walk to the Coke Museum, CNN, the Underground, and the Olympic Park. But I wouldn't stay there again.

Just does the job
The location is great but the name is all you get. I couldn't tell any difference between the Westin and a Holiday Inn.

Not what you expect from Westin Hotels
We were disappointed in our stay for the first time at a Westin. The room was run down, plumbing had serious issues. Even though the hotel is being renovated your expect a certain level of quality at a Westin. Additionally, though the reservation was made in two steps (we decided to extend our visit from our original reservation) the staff could not get it straight, after checking twice we were still locked out of our room an extreme inconvenience. At this point I would not return to the Peachtree Westin.

Westin Great Lobby Great Views Great Location but Archaic
This. Place was built 30+ years ago some of the problems are a component of the build date. It's just NOT a modern hotel. Popcorn ceilings... Small outdated bathrooms, weird 80's style night club restaurant. A staff that could have been hired from McDonald's. All that said... If the price was right I would stay again.

Nice location, nice hotel
The building itself is impressive and it's worth taking a gander at the skyline from atop the hotel. Everything else is fairly status quo. No major complaints, just nothing exceptional either. I was surprised to leave the room at 10a and return at 5pm to find that housekeeping hadn't been by. The concierge wasn't particularly friendly and I was surprised at the limited hours and availability of the rooftop restaurant. But overall, it's a nice place to stay if/when the rates are on the lower side. Wouldn't pay premium prices for it.

If flying in, it's very easy - and more economical- to take MARTA to/from the hotel rather than a cab.

Average and overpriced
This hotel was expensive with added costs everywhere you look. The hotel charges for Internet which is not cheap. I needed to print a theater ticket from their business center and the ordeal cost me $8. Hallway noise was very noticeable and the staff was not especially courteous. I was awoken both nights by staff cleaning up the room service dishes at an amplified noise level. There are plenty of other hotels with this level of service that are a lot cheaper.
