Excellent Choice

Our stay exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal in the main drag. The room was comfortable and had all the modern amenities while maintaining its rustic history. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only recommendation would be to improve their selection for breakfast - it was not as diverse as it could be. Otherwise, I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I am every visiting the Atlanta again.

Great location!

It doesn't get any better than this for the price. Hotel is located a few blocks from the Little Five Points area. There are also many trendy bars a few blocks on the opposite direction. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I will stay here again!

Conveniently Located

This was perfect for a one night stay. It was extremely affordable and in an interesting and fun area with lots of bars and restaurants near. The room was really small, but I liked the charm this inn had over a large hotel chain. I would recommend.

EAT AT The Highland Bakery. Specifically the breakfast BLT. It closes at 4 p.m. and there is usually a long wait, but it is so worth it.

Cute

I think this hotel is a great deal split between two people or more. It's a really old hotel, very quaint, with a super friendly staff. Nothing more than what you need, good breakfast muffins and coffee. Free parking is great, but if you have a large SUV it is going to be a really tight fit in the parking lot. I love the walking distance to Little Five Points and all the great shops and venues. Variety Playhouse about a 8 minute walk, not bad at all.

Very nice historical hotel!

I visited Atlanta for 2 days. I was really impressed! Yes, it is an old hotel, but you are still getting a great stay for what you are paying! You have easy access to the nightlife downtown, malls, etc. In the words of Bob Barker, I would stay here again, "If the price is right!"

It's ok

I booked this hotel because it was one of the cheaper ones and it was close to downtown. The hotel is in a very pleasant neighborhood. But it's so old. It feels like I'm the 1920's. I wouldn't stay here again because its so old fashioned. But staff was really nice but the rooms are extremely small !!!! If your looking for a cheap place to stay this is it!

old very outdated

You can walk down the halls and see in all the rooms. Anyone could break the door down. I felt extremely nervious and left early. I would NEVER stay there again. Note at the front that it's common for cars to be broken into. I heard multiple engaging in ---. The bed spreads, pictures, and micrwave was old and looked like something from "Good Will".

Cute Little Place Near Downtown

The Highland Inn was cute and had a vinatge, artsy feel. The rooms are clean. It was a good bargain and close to downtown. It's not a chain, so you miss out on some ammenities, but it has character. You get what you pay for. The price was really good for the location. The only negative was that the mattress in my room was extremely uncomfortable. It was very springy and cheap.
