Very Nice Stay
We had a very Nice stay. The location is very near my Son's house where we visited and it is near the major ATL attractions. We will be returning in a couple of weeks for an extended stay.

old very outdated
You can walk down the halls and see in all the rooms. Anyone could break the door down. I felt extremely nervious and left early. I would NEVER stay there again. Note at the front that it's common for cars to be broken into. I heard multiple engaging in ---. The bed spreads, pictures, and micrwave was old and looked like something from "Good Will".

Not large but clean, close and reasonable
My wife called it "like sleeping in your Aunt Minnie's guest room" ... a fairly small and older hotel arrangement with higher ceilings and basic amenities. The parking was free and nearby, but they suggested you not leave "interesting" stuff in sight. Great pics on the walls of some name rockers like Dick Dale who've stayed there in the past.

Cute Little Place Near Downtown
The Highland Inn was cute and had a vinatge, artsy feel. The rooms are clean. It was a good bargain and close to downtown. It's not a chain, so you miss out on some ammenities, but it has character. You get what you pay for. The price was really good for the location. The only negative was that the mattress in my room was extremely uncomfortable. It was very springy and cheap.

So unique! Not the standard hotel.
I LOVED staying at The Highland! Staff was so welcoming and helpful! I loved the atmosphere. Only thing is, if you are going in the winter, prepare yourself because the room has an old school radiator and a space heater. It was a little chilly at first but by the time I settled in it was comfortable and I had a great night. Will def visit again!

Charm, comfort, and economy in a perfect location
We found our experience to be exactly what we were looking for. We didn't want the sterile, cookie-cutter motel/hotel that charges for every step you take. We were within the Atlanta beltway and had everything we needed when we got "home" to our hotel. And the price fit the budget very well.

Down memory lane!
I spent many happy hours in this area as a child and was going back for a family reunion. The staff was delightful and most helpful. With my aging eyes I could have used a better bedside light for reading in bed but I did fine with what I had. When we checked in they had upgraded up because the larger room was not spoken for and we felt like grandparents being well taken care of! I was delighted.

One Late Night in Atlanta
Great Value
I was coming to Atlanta for a concert I knew would get out late. I didn't want to drive back that night but also didn't want to spend a $100+ for a room I'd only be occupying for 6 hours to sleep. For less than 60 bucks a night i was quite nervous, however, when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was polite and friendly. The rooms were basic but comfy. There were no frills, but everything was more than satisfactory. If you need an affordable place to stay and don't require lavish style and decor, this is the place. The location isn't remarkable, but its not bad. Dollar for dollar, this is the best place in Atlanta.
