Guests looking for luxury touches find them in spades at The Ellis on Peachtree, an Atlanta institution. The 127-room property is boutique in feel, with modern décor and personalized service. The Ellis on Peachtree is on the National Register of Historic Places, but rooms brim with up-to-date details like limestone floors and walls, espresso bamboo paneling, 32-inch flat-screen TVs and iPod docking stations. We brought our small dog, and the room on the 'dog' floor had a definite dog urine smell.

Not my cup of tea
This is not a hotel - it feels like a NYC apartment building complete with a view of a brick wall from the windows next to the bed. The room was very, very small but it was very chic in design/furnishings. The bathroom was also lovely. A couple of extras -- a complimentary wine tasting which I did not partake in and free internet access. I can't say that I recommend this hotel because it has absolutely no warmth or sex appeal and it is certainly not elegant as the description suggests. There is no entrance to the hotel and no pool. Just not my cup of tea.

No complaints
aside from not being able to connect to the wifi on the 14th floor, it was a great hotel. Great food, great staff, awesome location.

Excellent Hotel
This hotel was great. The staff were excellent, and our room was great. The bathroom was "off the chain" the sheets and bed were exquisite! The location was great as well within walking distance to all major attractions! I will be staying here again and again.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Atlantic Station is a great shopping area only about 2-3 miles from the hotel. If your wanting to do alot of attractions (ex. Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, CNN, Atlanta Zoo, High art museum, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and etc.) The city pass is well worth the savings. I did all of the above on my trip and they all were very fun and great for family.

Awesome Experience
the people in the hotel are genuinely hospitable and ready to do what it takes to meet your expectations. Parking was an issue, just because the valet parking fee is around $20 dollars a day. The good thing was that the car was safe and the staff was very resposible with the vehicle. All the staff was wonderful... I would really consider returning to Ellis Hotel next time I visit the Atlanta Area....soooo close to all the venues!

Decent
Room was nice, decent amenities and nice finishes. Staff was very friendly and professional. Room service did not offer an expansive variety for our in-room breakfast, but the quality and price was on par with similar places. I only had two drawbacks to the room. First, we needed two beds and they only had two doubles, which were smaller than I desired. Second, I set their conditioner to a comfortable temperature but the room stayed warm and was unable to cool down.

Ellis hotel
Great hotel. Although the room was not very large, it was very well appointed, decorated, and very comfortable. Staff was great. Prices reasonable and the location is very good.

Great place
Ellis has a very good location in downtown, close to everything. Its nice, clean and has an excellent staff. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are not big, but are comfy.
