Dramatic 14-story atrium at heart of sophisticated, convenient hotel
The Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel is 20 minutes from downtown Atlanta. This is an ideal hotel for conference visitors, as it directly connects to the Cobb Convention Center. It is a large hotel, with a stunning 14-story atrium at its heart and stylish well-equipped rooms. Guests with time for shopping have plenty of choice with the Galleria Shopping Center, with the boutique shops of Vinings Jubilee and Cumberland Mall all in close proximity. Breakfast is served in the atrium Cafe and Italian specialties can be found at the Medici restaurant at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel.

Nice Hotel
I had the pleasure of staying at the Renaissance Waverly while attending a Marriage celebration in May 2012. This was a nice hotel. It was comfortable, clean and the staff was friendly. The outside view from the room was spectacular. It would have been nice to have a complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi for the guests. Over all, this was one of my best hotel experiences in Atlanta.

Elegant getaway

Great Hotel for Business Traveler
The Renaissance Waverly is a bit of a drive from Hartsfield-Jackson (i.e. $55-$60 cab ride), but a nice hotel. Decent health club and spa. Nice restaurants for client dinners or cocktails. Big Bowl Grill in the Convention Center of the hotel is great for families or budget traveler. Cumberland Mall is a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive, and there are a few restaurants in the area. Watch out for the printers in the Business Center. Can be a little wacky by printing more than you asked for.

not a happy camper
Nice but extra fees for everything
The hotel is big and rooms were just above average but every time I turned around there was another fee. Good thing the staff was friendly or I would not be a happy camper. I'm really sick of these "full service" hotels charging for EVERYTHING extra like internet (15 bucks a day) and breakfast (17 buck buffet) when I can get all these things for FREE at a courtyard or fairfield (even Super 8 for that matter). I was even charged 60 bucks for having 6 package delivered to the hotel. Then If I wanted them delivered to my room I had to pay even more! The only real plus was the hotel is connected to the Cobb Convention Center and that is where my convention was. Also found stains on carpet in my room and was woke up by loud annoying maintenance equipment at 3:00am (not cool) Not one to take my time to write feedback but I figured I should share so you come prepared.

Nice Hotel
Hotel is beautiful and clean. The hotel would be better if it offered free wi-fi. Also I had a problem with the water not draining from the tub after taking a shower.

Very nice staff
The place is nice and the price is good, but the staff made the difference. Very friendly people and very accomodating.

Moldy bathroom
Room smelled moldy and was out of date. The liner for the shower had grease and mildew stains. The tile in the shower had mildewed grout. TV remote did'nt work all that well and the TV itself was too small. There was no where to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee as the Starbucks was closed at 8pm. The room coffee maker was available, but I didn't want my room to smell like coffee.
