Great price for a excellent location
I was looking for a hotel in downtown Atlanta area for my anniversary. Marriott, Hyatt and Westin was the hotel that we usually stayed at.[...]I like the location but never heard about this hotel before so I look at the reviews and all the reviews was great and it was 4 star hotel but the price was really good. I did make the reservation.....OMG....it was excellent....from the location, the friendly staff, the clean room and the wine reception was great.I will difenetly will come back there and tell all my friends about this hotel....

Nice place to stay
Friends of ours have recommended Kimpton hotels for their eco-friendly nature and their classiness. They are usually pretty pricey and we hadn't stayed in one 'til now because of that but when we ran across a great price ($99/night) we jumped on it. The hotel was VERY nice. Clean rooms, friendly staff, coffee/tea bar in the morning, free wine in the evening, and definitely eco-friendly. We also loved that they are pet friendly although we didn't bring our two dogs on this particular trip. The hotel is also in a great location with restaurants/shopping within walking distance and in a good neighborhood. The one thing that seemed a bit pricey is the $30/night valet parking. We read some tips on here about cheaper parking at other hotels/conference centers nearby but decided not to risk parking our rental car somewhere else so we went ahead and did the valet parking. The price seems a bit steep to me but we aren't a regular valet parker.

Weekend at Palomar
Very nice hotel. Confortable, clean, modern. Negative aspects: overnight doesn't include breakfast ($13, better go to starbucks) and the parking is too expensive ($30 per night).

Short walk from hotel
Just to the east of the hotel, on Spring St. there is a parking garage that charges only 10 dollars a night to park vs. the valet service of the hotel for 30 dollars a night. Walking a block was well worth saving 20 dollars a night.

a great choice for a weekend getaway
A great stay. The location was wonderful; just a couple blocks from all the happenings of Peachtree Street. Valet was something like $30/night so we opted to leave our car in a cheaper parking lot on Peachtree, which was definitely the way to go if you're just wanting to walk around midtown anyway. Also, I highly recommend checking out the terrace for some drinks before going out at night... very cool atmosphere there. The rooms were very clean and chic, and the staff was very friendly at the front desk. If you're looking for modern, but not pretentious, this is the hotel for you.

weekend trip
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Lobby decor was very modern and stylish. We arrived just in time for the complimentary wine hour. Front desk employee recommended a great restaurant right around the corner. Lots of shops and eateries within easy walking distance. Fantastic midtown location.

Very nice place
Service was great, friendly and helpful staff, room was comfortable and spotless, security was great. I enjoyed seeing people with their pets. I didn't realize there was only valet parking and this made the stay more expensive than I had expected. The restaurant in the hotel had excellent food, a bit pricey but very good.

Upscale yet laid back
Hotel Palomar is a great place to stay if you prefer classy, upscale accommodations with warm and courteous service that is not overpersonalized. I enjoyed relaxing at a leisurely pace while having an attentive staff available when needed. Sometimes, the nicer hotels have staff who can be a bit overzealous in their well-meaning attempts to personalize one's stay. At other times, the staff at some of the nicer hotels can be uncomfortably snooty and uptight making one feel like an unwelcomed freeloader who regularly arrives just in time for dinner. The staff members at Hotel Palomar extended a warm welcome, provided the accommodations that I paid for without unneccessary hassles, were available when I needed assistance, anticipated and met my needs as a guest at the hotel, and the hotel is conveniently located. I particularly enjoyed the hotel's proximity to Downtown and Midtown Atlanta. Considering the size and layout of a city like Atlanta, the hotel allowed a visitor relatively convenient access to most of Atlanta's must see/must do attractions/events. If I could change one feature of Hotel Palomar Atlanta, it would be the way that spa/relaxation services are provided. While in-room massage/body treatments may sound like a tempting indulgence for some, I would have preferred to have had the option of receiving such services at an onsite day spa/salon.

Perfect in every way!
Our experience was first class all the way. We were in town for a music event. From the moment we pulled up to the front door until we were ready to depart, every hotel associate was friendly, helpful and professional. Hotel Palomar Atlanta - Midtown topped all our expectations and we will gladly suggest it to anyone we know who is traveling to Atlanta.

Hotel with a Nightlife!
This hotel would be great for visitors to Atlanta who are looking for a place with a rockin' and trendy bar/club scene built in. I was in Atlanta for a quick business trip so it was not a good match for my needs. Note that parking here is $30 a night. The rooms were great and the hotel is pet friendly - complete with dog biscuits at the check-in counter!
