Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Atlanta/Buckhead Area

I was favorably impressed with the very friendly and responsive staff; however, I was not so impressed with motel accommodations and immediate local.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at Microtel. The desk clerks in the evening were polite and very helpful in printing out maps of the Atlanta area so myself and friend could enjoy our trip. The Day crew were not as friendly and helpful. It seemed that they had more paperwork to do rather than be of much assistance. I call it like I see it.

This hotel is located in a suspect part of town. It bills itself as being in the upscale Buckhead area but it is being liberal with the use of the word "Area". It is literally sandwiched between two topless adult clubs, and two noisy bars. You could hear the loud music blaring from the clubs all night and into the very early morning. Of course the photo on the booking page doesn't show the colorful neighbors. The hotel is under renovation but the room had a very strong musty smell and the mattress was just so-so for comfort.

As soon as I walked in the door there were a dozen college kids with coolers of booze. Oh wait it gets better! Next to the hotel is a strip club, bar, night club and I'm pretty sure that I've seen a few prostitutes. I've moved rooms twice. Tomorrow I am off to a new hotel. Oh and my sheets had a huge yellow stain, there was a bug in the shower AND endless noise throughout the entire hotel. HORRIBLE PLACE AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!!

visiting child in college, hotel under repairs, rooms were small, no workout rooms, nice people-accomodating,felt like a nursing home in the rooms, bad lighting, TV was very blurred and no one came to fix when reported on first day-I fixed last nite of 3 nite trip, there seemed to be a mixed bag of patrons, some were fine others seemed questionable. I would not want to stay there again. And at times I felt not safe. this was a very low point compared to almost any trip because of the rooms and the clientle. I wish there was more diclosure to make my stay more pleasant. I felt as if I had no recourse and was stuck with these accomadations and would have liked the opportunity to be able to switch hotels. the worst hotel I have ever stayed.

The hotel was ok, they where doing some remodeling to the hotel so it was a bit noisy. We had 2 take a smoking room because of the noise on the 1st floor, the room was small but it was still a good stay. I think I would stay at this hotel again. The price was decent also.

rooms small but comfortable and with 2 other friends vacationing and partying this was enough as we were not in the room muchh at all

Well, despite the strip club across the street and the bars, it was a great stay. The hotel was remodeling, so I am not sure if the noise I heard one night out of eleven was do to construction or kids playing. The carpets need to be replaced in the halls. The rooms were clean. Bring your own iron because on the suites come with them. I did borrow an iron one night, but it is first come first serve. The wait for the elevator was quick as well since it only has three floors. The staff was very friendly. Everyone from the front desk to the custodians were willing to help. I did not have to struggle for parking either. Close to I-85n/s and that is a plus. Lost of shopping in either direction. I didn't try the breakfast, but when walking out it looked like muffins and bagels.
