New Year's Eve Weekend

The area is not great: nightclubs, etc. When arriving at the hotel, I noticed that an adult-entertainment place was across the road and was concerned. But it didn't keep us up at night. The room was clean. It was smoking, but the smell was not bad. The cleaning crew had unplugged the heater, which was plugged in behind the heater. When we called about it, the lady at the front desk called the maintenance guy to pull out the heating unit and plug the heater. The 24/7 coffee and tea were nice. Breakfast was OK (bagels, muffins, oatmeal). All in all, pretty good for what you pay.

I wouldn't kennel my dog here

I was extremely dissapointed in this hotel. I have stayed at other Microtel's before and I have never had this experience. The first room we were directed to was filthy. There was hair on the toilet seat, stains on the bed spread, and something gooey on the sheets. The clerk was extremely nice, and upgraded us to a "suite" for our trouble. This room was bigger, but still cramped, and filthy. there was short curly black hair on the white duvet cover and the couch had wet stains of various colors on the cushions....the hallway had a strong odor of rotteness, and the counter in the was sticky. There was an envelope for a tip for the housekeeper "Michelle". I left my box of clorox wipes as a tip for her. It was new years eve, there was no other rooms, and we had prepaid online. There was no way to get a refund. This is not in buckhead like the add claims either, it is in a completely different and unsafe area. There appeared to be hookers utilizing the hotel as well. I would never recommend this hotel.

Great room for rate

First time I ever stayed at any of these hotels, was pleasantly surprised for the price. Will look towards staying at these hotels more often. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean, price was great!

Decent

Staff was very friendly, they seem to have a special treat each night (popcorn, cookies, ect) and an area downstairs for computer access, printing, and refreshments like coffee. The rooms were a little dated and well used, everything was mostly clean but the bathroom was worn with chips and dings all over the sink area and a crack in the shower. Also there were crumbs or something in the sheets of the bed. There were deep scratches in the wall beside the front door as well. There is a full wall mirror above the headboards of the beds. The location is not desirable for business use or anything other than leisure. There are 2 "night clubs" and a nude bar within 1 block of the hotel with loud music even on a weeknight but it wasn't too bad of an area since we were in North Atlanta and was only 10 minutes or less from the businesses in that area. I would not have been happy paying the full price listed on the doors of $119 a night but it was suitable for what we did pay, it definitely beat the 200+ a night rates of the hotels 5 minutes away.

Meh.

The price was great. However, it bills itself as being in Buckhead and it's not quite there. It is right next to a strip club if that's your thing.....but it is a good location.

True value in an expensive market

I've been staying at this hotel on and off (as have family) for nearly ten years. There is simply no better value in that part of town. This past trip was for business so I really just needed a central location and a place to crash. I've stayed at places eight times the price and while very nice, were not what I needed this trip.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Check out Zuffy's next door. Great local music and cajun food. Avoid the Pink Pony unless that's your gig.

Had a great time in Atlanta for Pride weekend. The hotel was a great value; a good location, not too far from the Midtown area.
