A beautiful hotel and a fantastic room. Our trip was only marred by a less than stellar experience while checking in. Despite having a guaranteed reservation for a King room, we were initially told that there were none available. After nearly 30 minutes of wrangling, the clerk "magically" found one for us. Rather irritating at 1 AM. The manager on shift the next morning handled my complaint very professionally, however, so I will be happy to return. Our only other disappointment was that the advertised 24/7 French restaurant was no longer there, forcing us to go out again when we couldn't find anything on the room service menu that appealed to us.

trip to Emory
The bell man staff and initial greeting staff were great. The front desk was great. However, house keeping was terrible. We called for extra towels on 2 different nights and we did not get towels. Finally on the 3rd night, I asked for the manager who apologized and said that the system went down. Upon check out, they took off 2 nights of internet billing. Plus, the towels were not uniform. Some of the bath towels were wider than others and we never got fresh soap after 4 nights. The safe was opened but on the locked position. We called, but again after 2 phone calls we gave up. The property has a great location, but the small details are not good.

Great hotel, great service. You know you're in a great place when you return from a run and the doorman has a towel and bother of water waiting!

Not great
Close friends have stayed here before and recommended it but we were disappointed by our stay. We arrived in the middle of the night after a major delay to our flight caused by bad weather. Checking in was fine but when we returned the following evening at 6:30 pm after being out since 9 am, we found our room untouched - not cleaned! When we complained to the front desk that our room hadn't been cleaned by 6:30 pm, the front desk said that housekeeping can be running late... fine, but cleaning a room after 6:30 pm? Also, when we attempted to seek information to access the internet in our room we repeatedly received inconsistent information and eventually gave up out of frustration... it just shouldn't be so complicated in a hotel with business travelers. The service was poor and rude but the hotel location and amenities were nice. Another note to consider, parking is $20.00 a day and parking for 0-2 hours is $7.00 so you pay each time you leave making what seems like a great deal, less of a deal. Bottom line, there is no excuse for not cleaning a room by 6:30 pm and not being courteous to guests. There are so many other nice, new, and clean hotels to chose from in Buckhead, I'd give others a try.
