THE BEST HOTEL YET
Myself and my cousin stayed here for 2 nights and didn't want to leave. The room was spacious enough for the two of us. We ended up having to share a queen bed because the 2 double bed rooms were all booked along with the King bed rooms. However, the Queen bed suited us just fine. The employees there were OUTSTANDING! I have NOT one bad comment about this hotel. The location was PERFECT! Overall: Simply AWESOME!

The restaurant being open would have helped and enhanced the experience. Also not having free wi-fi was a hinderance.

comfortable
bathroom was not clean, too much hair from previous guest abound. carpet and headboard was dirty. What was descrived as a balcony in my booking was actually a space about a foot wide, not big enought to accomodate an adult with the door closed. I thought the charge for internet acess was excessive. I have stayed at three star hotels with free access.

Very pleasant Stay
Although the main front entrance of the hotel was cordoned off due to renovation/construction, the temporary front desk was very welcoming, and the check-in staff was attentive. The check in was quick and effortless. I reserved 3 rooms, each with king beds, for only one night's stay. One room was slightly larger than the others, with a nice little entry area before segueing into the sleeping area. The others were the same in size and arrangement and also very clean and pleasant. Unfortunately, the cleaning powder used on the carpets triggered my allergies while I was in the room but at least the room was very clean! Unfortunately, the internet was NOT complimentary--not good. Only a short cab ride ($20 tops) to Emory University (my final destination) or to the CNN center (sightseeing).

Adequate for the price
Met a friend that was there for a conference. I was a tourist. No shopping in the area so used the MARTA and cabs to get away from the hotel. Lots to do within a 5-6 mile radius but to walk some of the areas were unsafe to walk through. I had a single room that was very small in a "tower" area. It was clean but had to keep curtains pulled as the room was surrounded by tall sky scraper business buildings. Courteous staff and close to good restaurants.

The Juke Joint, about 4 blocks from the hotel, has wonderful Southern cooking. Their grits and shrimp are to die for! They had a live blues/jazz band and Stevie Wonder stopped by and joined the band and ate there! Exciting.

Great Location
The hotel itself was very nice and the rooms were comfortable. I loved having a working balcony. They have skywalks that connect the lobby to other hotels which was very nice because I was attending a conference at another hotel. Also, there is a MARTA train station just a few steps away from the hotel which made for much cheaper travel to and from the airport! There were a few drawbacks though. The hotel only had a handful of elevators and in the evening they got really congested and slow. One night I gave in and walked up to the 9th floor because of the huge lines. If my room had been much higher I wouldn't have done it though. Just be prepared for a wait in the evening, especially when the hotel is full. There was a conference in my hotel I wasn't attending, and there were tons of teenagers who were VERY loud. The walls in the hotel room are very thin and you can hear normal conversations in other rooms (if there are a number of loud teenagers it's unbearable). One night a room next to us had the TV on (probably at an normal level) and I could hear it in my room very clearly. I'd recommend sleeping with the TV on to drowned out some sound if possible. Security at the hotel = tried their best to keep the noise down and did offer a free breakfast buffet (which is regularly $16.95) after an especially loud night. The staff was okay, but I have been to hotels where they are much more engaged and friendly.

Disappointed
I was disappointed for the quality of the Hotel. The beds were not comfortable at all. Had a really difficult time sleeping my entire stay. Can't understand why hotels do not use fitted sheets on the bottom. Flat sheets move around and a non-fitted mattress pad moves around also and becomes uncomfortable. I was also disappointed that there was no token of hospitality waiting in the room when we arrived. For the Hyatt, that's what I expect. Not sure that I want to stay at a Hyatt again.

Many dining possibilities along Peachtree where the hotel was. Also, able to access the Peachtree Center from within the hotel which was really nice since my meeting was there and it was raining. Also able to access Atlanta's Marta system without having to walk outside. Most convenient!
