Mini Vacation

The hotel is in walking distance to the GA Aquarium and World of Coca Cola. When we checked into our room, it smelled like smoke. They said that it was because of the restaurant next door, but they were happy to move us to the other side of the building. That rooms smell fresh and clean. Like most people said, there is a daily parking fee of $22 if you want to park in their parking lot. However, there is other parking garages that is $13 a day. There is plenty of shops and resturants in walking distance. The hotel provided free wi-fi in the rooms and there is a nice 42" flat screen tv. Great modern touch.

Entertainment tip: Not Applicable

If you are going to a braves game, they have a shuttle that takes you to the Underground, which you can then transfer onto another shuttle that takes you to the game. These shuttles have a specific path blocked off for them. There is a catch. The shuttle from the underground to the game will cost $1.75 per person (around trip).

Loved the room layout.

I came to Atlanta for a week long conference. This hotel was maybe a half a block away from the conference hotel (Hyatt Regency), and yet the room was $100 less per night. There were plenty of restaurants close by. The room had a great design. Although the size of the room was probably only a little bigger than an average room, the design made it feel more like a suite. Typically when you come into a room, you've got the bathroom and closet section, then it opens to a boxy room with a bed or two, and maybe a small desk. This room had a sitting area as you came in on the right with a sectional couch (I think part was a sleeper). To the left was a bar area with coffee/tea, and a mini fridge. Once past this, on the left were the two beds, and on the right was the sink, bathroom, and closet area. The tub and toilet area was pretty small, but I didn't have a problem with it. Near the outside wall, there was also a desk with a comfortable chair. The room also had a 42" flat screen TV. It's nice to be able to sit on a couch with an end table to watch TV rather than always sitting on the bed. There were two phones, and one of them was cordless. It was nice to sit on the couch while chatting to my family. The included breakfast was a little sparse, but I could have ordered bacon and eggs if I had wanted to pay extra. Finally, I was approached 3 times in the area by people asking for money, but I didn't feel unsafe. There was a fairly obvious police presence keeping the immediate area safe.

There's a small brewery right next to the hotel, and I thought the food was great for the reasonable price.

Nice Hotel to Stay in for Business

The hotel was a nice place to stay in while attending a training in Downtown Atlanta. The staff was exceptionally helpful and nice during my stay. I was thoroughly pleased that I was able to park my car in the hotel's gated parking lot and used the complimentary hotel's shuttle service to get to and from my training. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the complimentary continental breakfast the hotel offered. It was not the typical continental breakfast. The breakfast items they served were fresh and fufilling. The staff was also helpful in offering suggestions of restaurants to go to for lunch. The bed in my room was very comfortable, and I slept so well in it. On the other hand, the room I stayed in smelled slightly like smoke. I was not pleased also to have a small sliding window in the bathroom by the shower. I did not understand the purpose of the window since I was on the 10th floor. Overall, the hotel was a nice hotel to stay in especially as a single female traveling for business.

Awesome Atlanta

The hotel was located in the heart of the Atlanta business district which allowed easy walking access to the entire area. I was able to park the car and walk to everything, which meant that I didn't have to take part in the Atlanta rush hour traffic. The hotel is also located only about 5 blocks from Pemberton Place and Olympic Park which is home to such attractions as the Georgia Aquarium, Coca-Cola Building, CNN Center, Philips Arena, Georgia Dome, and many other attractions. There was a shopping mall 3 blocks away and a vast variety of restaurants. This is by far the perfect place to stay whether on business or vacation!

Max Lager's Firewood Grill and Brewery is located next door to the hotel. The food is reasonably priced and very good. The serve a variety of beef and bison dishes that appeal to the entire family. This is a must visit for anyone going to Atlanta!

Good Accessible Room

We requested and received a handicapped accessible room which doesn't always happen in many hotels. The room was large and easy for a wheelchair to move about including into the bathroom with a roll in shower. Fluorescent lights in all fixtures were energy efficient, but dim. The hot water could have definitely been a bit hotter. The 'fitness center' consisted of four machines, but all good quality. A generous basic breakfast is included with a cook to order option at an additional cost. The downtown location is close to many attractions. All in all, a good experience especially for the price!

Nice Value

The hotel was convenient to Centennial Park, World of Coke and the Georgia Dome. Rooms are updated and comfortable, however the bathroom was small and seemed left out of the recent renovation. The hotel had a free shuttle to anywhere in a 3 mile radius, which was a very nice amenity.
