Hotel Indigo Midtown Atlants

While the location and price were great, the room was quite small. The bathroom was TINY. Not counting the shower area, it was about ten square feet.

Could be better

Trying to be a hip hotel in the historic district of Atlanta just doesn't quite work. I had also read about the small bathrooms but I wasn't prepared for how small. The 8 oq 9" step up to get into the bathroom is awkward. Parking should be free for hotel guests instead of $25. My main gripe was they don't provide free coffee in the lobby. They have a machine that charges $3.85 for a regular cup of coffee. That is absurd. You can't beat the location though.

Expected something else

I was a little disappointed - the hotel looks old - the room was small, especially the bathroom, I could barely move inside it and I'm a small built woman. Two nights in a row, I had problems with the vending machines and had to go to the front desk to get a refund. The hotel doesn't have parking - it uses the parking garage of the hotel next door and they charge you $25 daily.

Just a couple of things...

Walls are paper thin. I could hear the neighbors. On the surface the decor looks nice. But if you look at the detail work, the bathrooms were painted sloppily...but that's being picky. Pillows were really soft. I woke up one morning to the sounds of screaming and a police office yelling "Freeze". But that was outside the hotel. The size of the room seemed fine to me. Then again I was alone. [...] if you're looking to keep up with the workout take some workout clothes because they do have a gym. It was convenient to be close to the rail station (or MARTA). Didn't like that the kitchen wasn't always open. So consider bringing items to the room from the outside in case you have late night cravings. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is a bit of a pain and pricey at $18 a day. Lastly, they have a bottle of Dasani in the room staring at you. You're better off just going a couple of blocks to the nearby CVS to get a bottle of water than pay $2.50. I guess that's it.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

In the end we're all trying to find ways to save some money when we travel. If you're on vacation you're more than likely going to be eating out or in the hotel which can really get your spending to skyrocket. You're best just just going to the nearby CVS to buy a couple of snacks to keep the hunger at bay. There is a place called BROADWAY DINER that isn't bad and the prices are reasonable. By snacking you can then limit yourself to one meal where you eat out and will wind up saving you lots in the end. If you don't care about splurging then oh well. Go ahead and stuff your faces.

One night stay

In town visiting friends for the weekend and needed to stay one night. The room was clean but small. The bathroom carried Aveda products but was tiny. The walls were very thin and the parking was $18. Probably would not stay there again with so many other options around - hopefully for a little more money you would get a little more room with a little more privacy.

Pet Friendly, but not worth the price.

The hotel's location is fantastic, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. The bathroom is smaller than a cruise ship's...you can pee, take a shower, and brush your teeth all without moving your feet. The room was small, but fine. The building is older- they try hard. Staff is extremely friendly. Still, there are better pet friendly values out there with more space. Perfect if you want to take a pet and see a show at the Fox.
