Great Experience!
While on a business trip to Atlanta, a few coworkers and myself stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Buckhead. It was great and the rooms are always nice. Everything was where it should be, and supplies and commodities were plentiful. We've been to this exact hotel twice before and will continue to stay at this hotel every trip to Atlanta!

Good stay
Had 3 rooms, all the suites with 2 bedrooms, 2 queen beds, 2 showers, etc. The staff was friendly at checkout and very accommodating. The lobby was very clean and well-maintained. Rooms, while not your typical HIE style, were still nice and clean. 2 problems - No ice in the refrigerators and neither ice maker in the fridges worked. Didn't go hunting for the ice machine however since you'd have to walk outside. 2nd problem was with the free shuttle; I was told it would run until 10:30pm, and just make sure to get there right before 10:30 and I'd be okay. At 10:24pm, I come for the shuttle and its no longer there / the driver went home. Ended up having to take a taxi instead, which was a bit annoying, considering the front desk had specifically told me at check-in a few hours earlier that it would okay.

Short walk from hotel
Havana Club is quite close and fun. Cab ride was $16 for 5 people (probably got overcharged since its about 0.7 mi away, but didnt want to argue). Ended up walking back at the end of the night, and that was no problem.

Nice place, close to downtown
Great to have separate sleeping areas when travel with co-workers. The suites were basically apartments. Wonderful breakfast that was more than pastries.

Good Value in Buckhead
Second stay at this location. First time was a year ago and it was great. This time, the room was on the back side of the property near air conditioning/heating units but they were not a distraction. The bed was not comfortable. The front desk personnel were very friendly and polite at check-in and check-out. Still, I would recommend this property and would consider staying here again. I should mention there is no hidden "parking" charge unlike many properties in the Atlanta area that fail to inform you of the daily rate (usually $20) until checkout.

OK Location Great Value
Was a pretty good location. Very short drive or cab ride to many restaurants and bars in the Buckhead area but not the best area to be walking late at night. Rooms were clean and spacious but needed a little updating and maintenance. Nothing major, door hinges were loose and couch cushion torn etc. Kitchenette was nice and breakfast and light dinner in the lobby area with wine and beer was a plus. Staff was very friendly. Too cold to comment about the pool area as it was still closed from the winter. All and all a good locations and great property for the price. I would stay again.

Many many dining and nightlife options in the immediate area. It's Buckhead, duh! Also 10 minutes from downtown. Twice the room for half the price, great dining and nightlife and no parking issues.

Functional
Noce staff, helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable. The layout of the hotel is confusing and strange. Individual buildings with about 8 rooms in each. You have to go outside from the main entrance to each building. A pain when it is raining. And each building has three floor, no elevator. Confusing to find the rooms - the numbers are not continuous. I climbed to the top floor of two buildings before I found my room.

Nice hotel in a good location
The neighborhood that the hotel is located in is nice but is JUST outside of a really bad neighborhood. We were a bit concerned at first! But once we got to the location of the hotel, it was nice. We were on a combination couple get away/business errand trip. The gentleman working the front desk was very courteous and helpful. The room was a suite and was nice, if a little outdated. The room was clean...not excellently so but decent. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet. The bathrooms very much need updating! On the plus side, the breakfast in the morning is VERY nice and much more than a "continental" style.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Plan your dining ahead of time if you are tight on time! There is a kitchenette in the suites but local restaurant options (local meaning in walking distance) are very limited. We could not drive back out once we arrived and there aren't any grocery stores or decent restuarants within walking distance so we had to order delivery pizza.
