4th of July Staycation

We had a great time this weekend at the Hilton Garden Inn. We had family in town and stayed here for the weekend. Saturday afternoon we took a taxi to the Braves game and then that evening went for a walk to dinner at the Hudson Grille and rode on the Skyview. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only small complaint was that when we came back at night the carpet by the door was saturated. I believe the bathtub was leaking or something. But we notified the front desk before leaving. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Walk to the Hudson Grill and sit on the patio at night for a great meal and beautiful scenery. Then finish off your night seeing the sights from the Sky View Atlanta.

Overall it was a good stay

Overall it was good stay. Friendly staff, expensive breakfast in the hotel, took three calls in one day to finally get towels to my room, clean hotel, and great location if you are going to the Philips arena.

Great Location one hiccup my go to place for downtown atlanta

The Hilton garden inn downtown was perfect for or travel. We took a cab just once. Rooms were clean, pillows were, well hotel Pillows. Our only issues were the tolit wouldn't flush properly a couple of times due to the bobber thing in the tank not falling correctly and the shower didn't drain after the first shower. BOTH were reported AND fixed within 2 hours. The customer service was truly exceptional. My go to place when I want to experience downtown Atlanta.

not worth it

The location is great but there are several other hotels in the immediate area. It was great being so close to the aquarium. The restaurant in the hotel is absolutely amazing. The room is nice but small. The walls are paper thin. Though the people next to us were not yelling, I could literally hear the people talking in the room next to us. When people were in the hall I could hear everything as though they were in the room with us. The sleep number bed was on different settings on either side of the bed and could not be set to an even firmness for the whole bed. The staff was very quick to come to address our concerns or requests, but could never fully meet our needs. Maintanence came to look at the beds, but they never did even out. With that and hearing everything going on outside our room, made for some very restless nights.

On the way home

Overall, my wife and I had a good experience with the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. Our room didn't have the best view but I didn't ask for one that did. Very close to the Aquarium which is where we spent our time during our layover. Overall, I would give 3.892 stars.
