The hotel was nice and people friendly. The door lock gave way, but that can happen anywhere.

Good for business trip

I found the Georgia Tech hotel to be nice and clean. Close to the subway station(MARTA). Even thought my convention was downtown, and this was midtown, I found it was convient to go from one place to the other. The check in person was not helpful regarding the use of the train. I found a gentleman from the other convention cention next to the CNN building more helpful. I told me the cost and locations of the MARTA. Train cost $1.75 vs $10 for cab to travel each way. The room was nice and my friend and I had a queen bed each. I was happy that with was done. The pool was very enjoyable and open till 10pm. The gym was not impressive. It was OK. The buffet breakfast was priced fairly. It was $14. For a business conference or for business, I would recommand this place. For a vacation or family trip, try find somewhere else.

Some inexpensive places to eat by the hotel. Nightlife, you need to go downtown for that. Not much to see at this location.

Georgia Tech Hotel: Great location, great venue

The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference center is perfectly located among the hustle of a college campus. The staff was friendly and helpful, even when we left the "do not disturb" sign on the door by accident and they came up and cleaned the room at 6pm in the evening. The hotel is close to campus, an excellent B & N bookstore, a Starbucks, and everything else you'd want in a location. Close to downtown, the Peachtree Street(s), and great restaurants. And if you're scheduling a conference in Atlanta, check out the Hotel Conference Center and the adjoining Global Learning Center.

Practical Comfortable Convenient

The buffet is the best, the staff is freiendly and professional, rooms are nice. Paying $10 per day for wireless internet in a business/university setting seems a little off. Its the perfect place to stay if you are visiting GA tech.
