The Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center has plenty to offer, but the location makes it a standout. Located on the campus of Georgia Tech -- one of the nation's leading technological institutions -- the hotel offers immediate access to the university's intellectual life and exciting sports events. The prime campus location in midtown Atlanta affords guests easy access to the city's attractions and business center. The hotel's restaurant, two lounges, fitness center and indoor heated swimming pool offer all the comforts of home.

Georgia Tech Hotel

Excellent stay, helpful staff. My only complaint is that when I went into dining room for late breakfast, buffet food was a bit cold. (With earlier breakfast all was hot, however) I would also have preferred "off the menu" options, but all buffet.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Many wonderful attractions less than two miles and some less than one mile, including Fox Theater tour (great) and Margaret Mitchell house. Acquarium and Piedmont Park/Atlanta Botanical Gardens also within walking distance (just under two miles each).

Great hotel seconds from campus

Overall the hotel was nice, perfect for business but enough ammenities for leisure. I enjoyed the fitness room which had two flat screen TV's and complimentary water as well as a locker room. They offered a small convenience store onsite, restaurant and had free internet access in the lobby which was a plus. The hotel is located just block from the GT campus and directly across from a Borders and Starbucks.

perfect place for perfect price!

I was basically out there for leisure and to meet friends. The hotel was perfectly located in downtown and nearby to night life which was very convenient for me. The only odd thing was that the checkin had to be done by 11pm or else there is no one to attend at the front desk. Apart from that the service was usual and as expected since I didn't use much of anything because I'll be out most of the day and used the hotel room to sleep and keep my belongings.

good places are a short walk although watch out for taking short cuts as it might not be that safe. As long as you're walking the main streets, you'll be alright.

Poor Service, clean rooms

While the hotel had a great location (close to Fox Theatre, Marta, and several restaurants) and nice rooms/lobby, the unfriendly service made it a no-so-great place to stay. The staff most times seemed very stand-offish and seemed "bothered" by my questions. Talking with another hotel patron, he reaffirmed my observations adding, "hey, it's cheap." Speaking plainly, if the staff were more friendly and helpful, my experience at George Tech Hotel and Conference Center would have been much more enjoyable.
