Good location but needs work

1. Original room reeked of smoke in a non-smoking room. Desk manager immediately changed to nearby room that had not been ... made up (we checked in after 7 PM. Desk manager then switched us to "suite" but key did not work. He rekeyed and went with us to room to confirm everything okay and then called a few minutes later to confirm again everything okay.[...] Also found directions they provided us on their resturant directory had an error. Same desk manager gave us correct directions and map off of his computer.

Nice room and good service, but noisy AC

We stayed for 3 nights. The room was spotless and the staff were very nice. However, the AC in the room we stayed the first ... night was too noisy. After contacting the frontdesk, they offered immediately another room. The breakfast was good. Although it's not luxurious, it's good enough for a fresh start of the day. It's located within walking distance to a shopping center, which is very attractive for my wife.

We went to a ballgame, and this hotel was the perfect choice. It was a little far from the stadium, but that was really good ... because it was away from the hustle and bustle of that part of Atlanta. The mall is close by with easy access to I-285 to get in and out of Atlanta. Good choice, great price.

I went to Atlanta to visit a friend and do some vacationing time while there. Everything was fantastic. The staff was very ... good, the hotel was quiet, the complimentary breakfast was pretty good, and the hotel had great amenities. It was a fantastic trip while I stayed there.

Checking in was a little iffy...but they worked out the kinks. As a result, they upgraded to a King for free. The room was ... clean, the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, but the room did have a moldy smell to it. I didn't mention that to the front desk because I just wanted to settle in. After hours, there isn't much to do, but during the day, there was enough options around within walking distance. Internet was readily available at all times, breakfast was good, and staff was friendly! Price was also right! Safe neighborhood! On the downside, the pool looked murky; I didnt use it. Overall, I would stay again!

Great location. Within 5 minutes of mall, MANY places to eat, a nice theatre, and I-285. Highly recommend. A great value when ... I stayed. The room was clean and tidy, and didn't smell musty. Also within about 15 or 20 minutes of downtown ATL (assuming it isn't rush hour). About 20 minutes to World of Coca-Cola/ Georgia Aquarium and about 30 minutes to Stone Mountain Park.

Downtown ATL is a few minutes down the Georgia 400, but it is a toll road. 50 cents per pass. Bring change to save time at the tolls!

I was surprised to find a Marriot chain hotel at the price Orbitz was able to obtain in the heart of the Perimieter Mall area ... in Atlanta. I could not have asked for a better place to stay at his price.

The hotel location is good. It's within walking distance of a shopping mall. However, if your goal is to drive into the city ... of Atlanta it might be not such a good option as traffic driving up north to the hotel may be a hassle. The staff was friendly and the breakfast options were good (I personally enjoyed to waffles). The main things that I did not like was that the internet connection was very slow, and also the hotel room had a funny smell (maybe a mix of old carpet and humidity in the air). Otherwise the room was clean and fine for the price. Check in and check out procedures were straightforward. It was fairly quiet in the rooms. I stayed by the elevator and had very little noise issues.

Perimeter Mall is at the end of the street which offers shopping and dining, but before arriving to Perimeter Mall, there is a smaller shopping complex with with a Best Buy and Old Navy. It is within walking distance from the hotel.
