Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Atlanta/Buckhead

We chose this hotel because it had a really good rate, free breakfast, and a hot tub. Unfortunately for us, the hot tub & pool were resurfaced and CLOSED during the days we were there, but they re-opened the day after we left and should be GREAT for the rest of you in the future! The room was quiet & clean, bed was comfy, bathroom area was kind of small, but was fine. Parking lot is small - be careful! The breakfast buffet was really top notch. Fresh fruit, yoplait & activia yogurts, muffins, bagels, with cream cheese & peanut butter available, waffle maker that actually WORKED, indiv boxed cereal, milk in little cartons, juice machine, coffee for the hubby, HOT TEA & COCOA FOR ME (unusual). My favorite breakfast items were the delmonte grapefruit fruit cups and the Jimmy Dean biscuit sandwiches that we warmed up in the microwave-- WAY better than biscuits & scary looking eggs/sausage/gravy that I've seen at other hotels. We brought our own to-go mugs for our hot drinks; hubby decided that was SUPER SMART of us since hotel cups are usually small, but Fairfield did have travel-friendly lids for their cups in case you don't want to bring one. Chocolate chip cookies at check in were a nice touch. OH - if you want a refrigerator in your room, you have to ASK for one; they aren't standard. No charge for the frig, though.

Great location! Friendly, helpful staff. Amenities need to be improved, especially air-conditioners/heaters. Vending machine stole my money:(.

Rooms were clean and location is excellent, being only 8 min from Downtown Atlanta. Rooms are small but acceptable.

I realize we're in tobacco country in Georgia, but my hotel room stank of cigar smoke. It was very strong and got in to all my clothing...I had to air out all my clothing when I got home). No amount of keeping the window's open or keeping the A.C on would help. You can tell they tried cleaning it...because it smelled like chemicals on top of the smoke. The room was fine otherwise, basic and the cheaper price was right. I was staying in room 221. That room needs to have all the fabric and carpeting ripped out and replaced and maybe the wallpaper. Cause the stink is embedded. The staff though was extremely friendly.

It was very nice and clean with a pretty good breakfast every morning. Spent a girls weekend there and it is a location too...didnt drive more than 10 to 15 mins to go anywhere. The 5 guys burgers in the area are amazing !

Nice hotel, Staff was very courtesy and helpful. Continental breakfast was very good and offered a variety of items. This was really appreciated for those of us who have special dietary requirements. Hotel is close to some good restaurants and night clubs.

On our trip we involved with a Sports Medicine conference in Buckhead, Atlanta. The only thing that could have made our stay better was remembering a swim suit for the pool at the hotel. So far this was one of the best out of state conferences I've been to!

Great Staff; beautiful and clean room; great location to the MARTA

From check-in to check-out the hospitality of the hotel staff was very inviting. Everytime we left and came back to our room they always asked if everything was as we wanted it. The kindness of the staff just added to the fun that we had on our trip.
