Not worth the money

The hotel is not worth $100 a night, maybe $50. Bathroom so small the door almost hits the toilet. While it was clean, I would not stay here again. Also, all the rooms have outside facing doors, there are no hallways.

Great location, bad customer service

The location of the hotel is great if you want to access the Emory University area. However, my trouble started when I reached the hotel. [...]had not sent the reservation to the hotel yet,[...] The front office staff made me run to another building to access email and print out the confirmation. They were completely unaware of wireless internet options at the hotel. At the time of check-in, after the above drama had ceased, I was told that there would be 'wireless' internet available and that the signal fluctuates due to towers in the proximity. Sure enough, there was no wireless internet. When I called the front desk about it, I was redirected to technical support, who told me that the hotel does not have wireless internet access at all!!! Also, the staff as well as technical support people were rude and I had to remind them that I was the customer and they were not doing me a favor. Quite interestingly, nobody knew that the room had wired internet that could be accessed with an ethernet cable (which was stowed away from sight inside a drawer that was hard to find). Overall, the location would still attract me to this place... but I'd prefer another option in the future.

A classy place

I only stayed there for a night, but I thought it was a nice place and a great deal for the $$. Clean, modern, comfortable, and good service. Conveniently located in an attractive part of ATL, not far from the interstate and very close to a lot of great restaurants. The walking trails nearby are also pretty nice, and I definitely recommend taking a stroll around some of Emory's grounds. The only let-down was the "continental breakfast," which consisted of some juice/coffee and a dusty muffin. I'd definitely stay there again.

I ate at the Queen of Sheba Ethiopian restaurant, and Rise 'n Dine for brunch; both were great, particularly Rise 'n Dine.

Go old school

An alternative to the cookie cutter hotel chains. Everyone was very nice and professional, the room was clean and nicely appointed. They need to update their internet service, which was shaky, but I'd stay again anytime.

Emory Inn

I stayed here while attending an event at Emory University. While the rooms were a bit old, the location can't be beat. It's a good deal.

Charming but small

The room was small and old. My mom and I were tripping over each other. Very disappointed in the description as being part of Emory Conference Center. The Inn is pretty separate from the Emory Hotel--can walk there but not really convenient. Breakfast at the Inn was very disappointing. From the outside it's quaint, but that translates to old and small. The staff is really helpful and nice.

Go to the Georgia Aquarium. You will NOT be disappointed. It seems expensive, but it is worth every penny.

Ok hotel but fabulous hotel restaurant

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the staff are very friendly. They exemplify Southern hospitality. I cannot say enough about the wonderful food at the French restaurant!!! An unexpected bonus. They provide FedEx shipping containers so you can ship stuff home. The beds are very comfortable. They have upscale shampoo/conditioner/body lotion and great TVs. Breakfast is very simple (bagels, muffins, packet oatmeal, juice, coffee and milk) but served with a smile. The downside is that the hotel is right across the street from a very busy emergency room so there are sirens all night long and not a lot of soundproofing. Door locks are old so have to be encouraged to work correctly. The bathroom is not big enough to put a bathmat down flat but the shower was nice. Since I was a mom traveling with her son, one of us went out to breakfast so the other could shower and dress with some privacy.

Dining tip: In Hotel

The French restaurant is cheap for the quality French restaurant it is but much more expensive than your average hotel restaurant. Our tab for two (appetizer, main course, dessert and hot tea) was ~$100 but well worth it.
