Convenient location for business and leisure guests
The Doubletree Guest Suites Atlanta-Galleria stands in the northwest corridor of Atlanta, eight miles from downtown and close to Lockheed Martin, Coca Cola and General Electric. I'll be back.
This was a nice hotel and we got a great deal on the room. The location is good but difficult to access if you're not coming from the right direction (because of the median in the street). The room was large and very clean, and of course the free cookies were a hit with the whole family. The only negative is that the shower water was extremely hot!!! Be careful.

We were just in exploring for the evening. There was not all that much in walking distance of the hotel, but we were able to take the shuttle a little further out for a really nice tapas dinner. The staff was very warm and welcoming, and we enjoyed the lounge later. The bar staff was less friendly and the wines were not well-stocked, but we otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

Weekend of Baseball
The hotel was nice. A little dated, but nice. The price was right for a weekend of travel baseball. Parking was a problem in the evenings but manageable. The walls were a little thin. I could hear the next door neighbors conversations. For what I paid, it was a bargain. I would go back!

Enjoying Atlanta 6/3/11
Room great for price. Beds very comfortable. Enjoyed Stone Mountain. The desk help was not helpful in pointing out or answering questions regarding activities like the GA Renissance Festival, shuttle service to certain areas would have been helpful. Could have done more with children if info were avasilable in lobby.
