Not what I was expecting

I have stayed at other Double Tree hotels in other states and cities before and this location was a disappointment. There was no parking at the hotel so we had to park in a nearby parking deck that cost us 32.00! The room was rather small and needed some upgrades. The shower pressure was weak and the bottom of the bathtub was starting to peel. The staff was very nice and professional and the bed was comfortable however, there was a lot of outside noise and I was told it was due to a volleyball tournament that had a lot of players staying there. Also, we were charged 40.00 in addition to the cost of the room for 'incidentals'. Overall, we would not stay at this hotel again unless there were no other options. This hotel did not live up to the Hilton name and standards.

Eh okay

It was a pretty dirty building for how expensive it was. The room was very cramped and nothing special. The front desk people weren't the nicest of people, but they weren't terrible. The location was right in the middle of everything so that was nice. Overall it wasn't memorable.

The place to be

The staff was friendly and the location perfect, right in the middle of downtown Atlanta. The room was a little to warm. The AC did not work well. The other room I had next door was to cold.

Comcert Stay

The hotel was in an amazing location in the city. Very close to the Tabernacle, the park, and the CNN center. The staff was very friendly and they give you a cookie upon arrival. I would recommend staying here for location alone.

Where do I start!? The staff was extremely wonderful! The valet parking was just perfect. The hotel was convenient for all the places I needed and wanted to go. Restaurants and especially the Georgia Dome. We walked from the hotel because we knew it would be a lot of traffic leaving. But luckily, it was a short 15 minute walk. The valet services were helpful and friendly. They were hardworking and never had a problem with anything. Their printers were conveniently placed by the door so you can print your tickets and go to your destination. Service with a smile. Always. I am definitely staying here next time. Great job guys!

Everything is in walking distance! With valet, you don't have to pay for extra parking or look for parking spaces.

Something left to be desired....

Well to start my flight got in at 11 am and I knew check-in wasn't until 3pm but I was told that I could check room availability that day to see if I could be squeezed in. Of course I wasn't able to get in. So they took my bags for me and I decided to go to the restaurant for some lunch to start my wait. I stood at the host stand for easily 5 minutes before anybody greeted me. When I finally got sat I decided to try the chicken wrap...it was below average taste and it was way overpriced for lunch, at $15. The service in this restaurant is ridiculous! I ate there 4 times ONLY due to convenience, and each time the service got worse. I swear I saw them maybe twice the whole time I sat for my meal...hope you don't need refills or to clear any buffet plates off the table. When I finally was able to check-in I was put in a room that directly overlooked road construction. It stopped by 3pm which was acceptable, but I was rudely woken up at ONE AM when it resumed. Internet is not a perk in Atlanta, the hotel included. For 7 days of internet access it is $50! After one night of miserable sleep, I was able to get free internet and 2 free passes to the "breakfast buffet" in the monstrosity of a restaurant...don't waste your time...at $18 per person...go to BK and get a croissan'wich #which is basically all that was on the buffet line anyway#. Overall, the one SHINING STAR that this hotel offers is that is blocks away from Centennial Olympic Park, Falcons Stadium, Coca-Cola museum, Georgia Aquarium, and CNN center. Staff was semi-friendly. The desk people look like they would rather be tortured, but the bellmen and doormen were very friendly and willing to grab taxi's, doors and bags to help you out.

Wonderful family vacation.

The hotel day was just as good as the visit to Georgia. The staff was so friendly, warm, and inviting it was unbelievable I felt as if I was home. The car parkers treated us like royalty they open the doors even when we wasn't get in the car and they got the car with warm willing hearts it wasn't as if they were doing a job it was more like they were doing something they wanted to do. My daughters favorite part where the warm cookies. I will be planning another trip back and I can't wait. The only thing that Disappointed my husband was that room cleaning didn't empty the garbage and one day they neglected to come to the room.
