Very Well for the price, comfortable

Went out on the town, toured Atlanta, and went to Six Flags. Yes, I really wish the room would have had a fridge and a ... microwave. It was nice but not as nice as I have had before. Mainly because of the missing amenities.

BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS
Beware of the Bed Bugs Jul 13, 2009
I arrived later in the evening close to midnight. The first room they assigned me was directly across the elevator and ice ... machine. After 5 minutes of listening to the ice machine and elevator they did change the room for me. I was switched to room 544. I was awoken the first night by a bit of itchness and I originally associated with the thin afgan they had between the sheets and comforter. So I woke up and removed it. When I woke up in the morning I noticed my legs had small bites on them. Didn't think much about it at that time. The second morning I woke up had many more mini red type bites on my legs. I wasn't quite sure what was going on so I mentioned to a coworker and they told me to look up bed bugs. Personally I didn't realize they actually existed. Sure enough that's what I got. I informed the hotel day manager the morning of my checkout. I showed her my legs and I'm awaiting they're reply. I'm also trying to see how I can contact anybody at Orbitz because if I had paid for this hotel separately I could of withheld payment. So Orbitz please contact me. I've been home one night and my legs are still bite up. I'll be off to the doctor tommorrow and don't wish this on anybody. Sincerely eliot

Tony Saprano Jun 27, 2009
First off,my room was NOT the style I booked. We were placed in a double when we PREPAID(non-refundable)for a king. Secondly ... check-in is listed at 3:00 pm. We were allowed into our room at about 4:15???? Some staff were pleasant, while some were outright rude. No matter we won't be back. I recommend you stay elsewhere!!! Not A good value !!!!!!! We enjoyed our stay at a large chain much more the night after we left!!!! NO swank....mostly stank!!!!!

Just heading north
Kim Jul 3, 2008
We stopped in Atlanta to go to the acquarium on our way up to Pigeon Forge. It is north of Atlanta so we didn't have to deal ... with morning traffic and trying to get through the city. The hotel is wonderful. Very clean and spacious. My children had a quick dip in the pool and my husband was overjoyed by the fitness facility. There is a McDonad's, Wendy's and Waffle House in walking distance. Starbucks is in the lobby! Negatives: there was a high school baseball championship in the area and the hotel was full of 17 year old boys who thought everyone stayed up from 11pm-2 am. Needless to say, those of us with small children don't! We called security, but there was little that they could do unless they camped outside of their room. So when you book, ask what is going on in the area. The other negative was the restaurant prices. My husband went down to get us coffees and hot chocolate for the kids. They wanted to charge $4.50 for a hot cocoa! Crazy!

family vacation
Gregory Jun 30, 2008
when we checked in the clerks we very receptive and friendly. We were excited about our visit. Then we got to our room, the ... TV was not working and the bathroom was unually small- too close to the shower. I had some online class work to do and had to call the internet help desk 3 times to get a dropped connection. Then unfortunately when we checked out we left somethings in the drawer. It took us three days just to get to find out if the items were still there. The Manager was not helpful or accomadating. the staff passed us around to several differenct people. Finally we talked to a different person who said that they were the manager and retrieved our belongings. This was not a good hotel. It seems that they just go about the day doing nothing or doing things on the bare minimum, and when a problem arises no one knows how to give good customer service, or Be a Manager when needed.

Very Nice amenities
Cynthia Jun 28, 2008
The Crown Plaza Atlanta-Perimeter NW was a quality hotel. The location was centrally located between Cobb County and Fulton ... (Atlanta) locations, right on Hwy 285. The room was large and of the highest standards. However, I was very disappointed with my Dinner. The Restaurant menu was very limited, food and drinks were average at best but overpriced and bad service. Everything else was excellent including quick and friendly room service (Starbucks Cappicino Coffee in the morning), check in and check out. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will stay there again, just eat somewhere else. The last time I stayed at a 4 star Atlanta hotel I was very disappointed, this was a pleasant surprise.

There are lots of restaurants and a 2 Malls nearby. The Malls also have additional stores accross the street. I also enjoy Whole Foods and Costco that is a short drive. Since the Hotel is right on Hwy 285 it provide ez access to many locations.

Quietest hotel
corwin Apr 20, 2008
We were very impressed with how quiet it was at this hotel. The last couple of hotels that we have stayed in were so noisy ... that you could either hear other guests in the halls, next door, or above you. In one instance, our children were even awakened by the noise. But in contrast, it was so quiet here, that we really heard no one. It wasn't because there weren't other guests staying here, the parking lot was full and we saw plenty of other guests, we just didn't hear them. It made our stay there so pleasant!

Jim Mar 15, 2008
My stay was extremely comfortable. I particularly liked the location beside I-285 and within one exit of I-78. I made ... extensive use of the in-room internet service and appreciated the large desk top area and comfortable desk chair. The accessibility of Satrbucks in the lobby was a plus.
