Close to Public Transportation

The hotel is about 2 blocks from the Lenox Station on the MARTA route, within walking distance. The MARTA can take you to and from the airport, into Atlanta, by the Atlanta Dome, and to a shuttle to the Braves games. Also serves colleges and hospital areas. There is not much else within close walking distance, but the shuttle will take you and pick you up within a mile or so. There is an upscale Mall (Lenox Square) across the street, and Phipps Square is a few blocks, as is Target and Publix. There is a Shulas bar/grill in the hotel and it serves room service as well. The beverages and food are extremely expensive and nothing special and not worth the money, but convenient. It says there is a Starbucks, but rather there is an espresso machine in the bar, so maybe they use Starbucks beans, but no actual coffee shop. Breakfast was the same fare you get for free at lower priced motels, powdered eggs, omelettes and waffles, fruit, yogurt, potatoes and grits, pretty tasteless for $17.99 per person. No internet included in room rate, either. Our beds were comfortable, there were a few hairs in the bathtub when we got there and the duvet cover on one of the beds as well as a couple of towels looked like they had been wound up pretty tightly in the dryer, very, very wrinkled. I would have never put that on someone's bed or in their room, but they were clean. Day 2 we had no washcloths. Day 3 they knocked on the door very early and we just asked for towels and toiletries. The staff did not speak English. We never got either, and ran out of toilet tissue. So by day 4, we had no towels, were sleeping on 4 day old sheets, no shampoo or body wash and no toilet tissue or tissues. I asked for a quiet room since I have trouble sleeping, but the walls were paper thin. We could hear every person in the hall, every door open and slam shut all hours of the day and night, and the sounds from the bathroom were like you were in the same room. The lobby looks nice, but if they spent some of the money that they use for all of the security that just stands around on receptionists there wouldn't constantly be a line 4 or 5 persons deep to be waited on by one person, and maybe they could replace some of the light fixtures that are falling apart in the halls, at least on the 2nd floor. The elevators were fast. The soda machine and ice took turns being out on the 2nd floor every day. That was inconvenient. Overall, we would stay there again, possibly, due to the location, but would hope for better service in the room. Up one block there is a café called the Bucket Stop, the beverages and food are cheaper and taste better than Shulas. Their amenities state that it will be Bath and Body works, but it was some other cheap brand.

Great Place!

I loved the hotel! Everyone was extremely nice and accomodating! The included valet was extremely helpful. Also, they had shuttle transportation to up to 3 miles from the hotel and, being that they are so close to so many great places, that was heaven sent! The room was nice and spacious. The beds were so comfy (everyone in my party- 2 rooms booked- commented on the beds). I will definitely use this location again when I am in Atlanta.

Absolutely loved Yebo and Twist which are about 2 blocks away from this hotel. The shuttle service gladly drove us there and were back within minutes of us calling for pick up! Great food!

Very surprised

Have always stayed at Marriott in the past, but this hotel lacks much eye appeal. Came down for a quick getaway with fiancé and we both felt slighted.

Nice, but nothing special

The hotel was adequate in every way except for the staff. Every Marriott employee I encountered was friendly, polite, and accommodating. I would stay here again.

Excellent location. The rest is average

It's close to the major office buildings and malls in Buckhead. However, in the room I was in, I could hear what TV program my neighbor was watching and I could tell what time he got up. The bed isn't very comfortable either.

Business travel

Staff were superb! Rooms were newly renovated, however thin walls made every sound noticeable in surrounding rooms and hallways. Very large place, pool and hot tub were far-removed from main areas. Hot tub was tiny and looked black- like it was dirty and seemed to be under-filled. Parking was $20/night. I didn't have a room-service menu, so not sure if that's an option. Lenox mall is across the road and MARTA is very close. Not much else though. Conference meals and snacks were great as we're conference facilities:)
