Charged me more than I was priced.

Hotel is in an alright part of downtown. Room was kinda of small but clean and nice. My biggest problem was being charged for valet service I didn't use. Also I checked my credit card and I was charged more than was stated on the hotel bill by $30. I would only go back there if I really had too.

What a perfect get away right in the heart of the ATL!

We arrived on a beautiful day in the city to a friendly Valet. When we walked towards the front door there was an amazing courtyard with outdoor furniture, tables and chairs and a huge water fountain. The staff that greeted us was professional and friendly. Our room was spectacular. We had a one bedroom king (the bed was just huge compared to our little queen we are used to) Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe adorned the walls as well as a big beautiful rose painting above the bed (the Artmore signature) The wet bar was a surprise and the cash goodies and mini bar were well stocked. The windows were antique and beautiful and the colors of the room gave it a sophisticated romantic feel. The best part (according to my well traveled boyfriend) was the shower. It was without boundaries. It was out in the open with no walls or curtains. I just loved it. It tied into the Mediterranean Spanish theme of the courtyard just outside the room. The price I snagged this little piece of paradise for my stay-cation was great and I encourage you to try out this little diamond in the heart of midtown. We will absolutely be back!

Right next door is Davinci's Pizza. Check it out. The pizza was amazing. They were opened until 2am on Saturdays! We also used this opportunity to head out in Midtown because things were so close!

quick night in Atlanta

Stayed here because it was close to the concert venue and only was here a few hours before I had to head out again. The hotel was very cute and I enjoyed my stay. The beds were a bit too firm but I've found that's the case at almost all hotels. I would definitely stay here again.

You'll want to stay here!

I normally don't review hotels but I wanted to share my experience at the Artmore. I stayed at this hotel as a getaway with a friend of mine and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The hotel is located across the street from a MARTA station that helped us get all over Atlanta with a free shuttle to Atlantic Station (shopping). The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable with every question we had. Our first night we spent down at the bar since we had gotten in late and wanted to discuss plans for the next day. Our bartender was - hands down - the BEST! She was able to direct us in the places we definitely needed to see and kept us entertained all evening! The staff is friendly and extremely helpful, the rooms were cleaned every day (even after we sometimes left the hotel at 3 pm, we'd return and it was cleaned). The hotel isn't necessarily located in a 'high tourist area' but getting around didn't cost us too much. The Artmore is "Southern Hospitality" at its best!

For a delicious meal, you need to go down to Dante's Down The Hatch on Peachtree. Great fondue, and live Jazz on a Pirate ship!

A nice alternative at a great rate

The Artmore is a converted former 1920s-era apartment building in which the original architectural elements have been maintained. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and accommodating, even the maintenance guy who was on the elevator with us. All seem to really take pride in the property. My only disappointments were: 1) the room was quite tiny but still comfortable, 2) each and every item in the in-room kitchenette costs a fortune, even $2 for a single cup of coffee, 3) the breakfast (small buffet of scrambled eggs, really bad sausage links and grits along with standard fare like fruits, breads, cereals, was $10 per guest----way overpriced and these days, always offered complimentary by most hotels, 4) parking on site (underneath building in extremely cramped quarters) was $18 per day. In summary, the affordable cost of the room was offset by these other fees and charges. I would still recommend this hotel as it was a delightful alternative to the chains, especially as presented with upbeat and smiling professional staff!

Enjoyable Stay

The location of the Hotel is nice. Perfect, location if you want to walk to the High Museum. The Marta is also pretty much accross the street so your access to public transportation is near. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff is very helpful. There always seems to be something going on at the hotel in the courtyard or bar. If you like to relax and people watch pull up a seat and relax.

Visiting daughter, a recent college graduate working in Atlanta

The staff was very helpful. It was very, very helpful to have the MARTA station right across the street! My only complaint would be the breakfast food I ordered through room service - banana was rotten, toast cold, etc.

The High Museum was fabulous. Atlantic Station (longer walk - short drive) was great! Many stores, restaurants, movie theatre, etc.
