Good experience

We had a very comfortable stay. We needed handicap accomodations and our room was very accessible. We would stay here again. The room did have some things that were not working. The alarm radio didn't work even after it was replaced. The lighting in the room was poor. We had to get the light bulb replaced. The pool was locked a whole day after the thunderstorm with no explanation.

Excellent stay

I was in town for a convention at UGA. The location was a bit further away form campus than some of the other hotels used, but it was a very nice property.

Very nice hotel, check in took 40 min.

The hotel was very nice, but the check in took 40 minutes because they were not familiar with rooms booked on [...] The hotel needs to train their staff better.

Consistently comfortable

The Hampton Inn Athens was consistent with higher-end Hamptons that we have stayed in across the country. We often choose Hampton Inns because we can expect comfortable beds and pillows, clean rooms and responsible staff. These are our main concerns when staying in a hotel. We also enjoy the free breakfast, the cookies at night and the coffee and tea in the lobby. This particular Hampton Inn was clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. The location is fine, along a busy street; but we did not have street noise in the room. There are restaurants nearby as well as a 24 hour drug store.
