Hotel Biba

The value and room were good. We stayed over so we could use airport. The location was great. Other than that the hotel was not wonderful.

I was visiting my friends in West Palm and needed something cheap so this place was perfect. There's free wifi and breakfast with a nice pool and bar. the rooms were nothing special but the bed was comfortable. You can tell they are making improvements to the hotel so i'll be back to see the changes

The rooms were clean but very basic. Loud wall mounted air-conditioning units. They did not have coffee makers in the rooms and did not have coffee available until 7 a.m. Too late if you have an early flight.

The first thing I said when I got into my room was, "Why is my floor made of linoleum?" And then, "Okay, stuff will stick to your feet if you walk around here barefoot." And then, "Where's the hairdryer?" And then, "Why is my desk chair made of plastic?" You get the idea. You know how one nice thing about hotels is that they've thought of everything? These people haven't. There's no place in the shower to put the soap or shampoo. Gross-looking exposed cords everywhere. That kind of thing. The breakfast was advertised as involving "fresh baked Cuban pastries." It does not. Try a bowl of Lenders bagels and some plasticky jam. I'm drinking awful coffee out of styrofoam right now -- I bought it back to my room, where I'm just sitting in a fifteen-dollar plastic chair, just hangin' with the lizard that crawled in here. The hotel itself is really a motel. There's a difference. The pool is separated from a parking lot by a fence. If nearly all the rooms are on the ground floor and you have to go outside to get ice or visit the front desk ... motel. Don't be fooled. Yes, they painted the place pretty colors. Yes, they decorated it from Urban Outfitters. Sure, my towel hooks are shaped like reindeer antlers, that kind of thing. But the basics of a decent hotel are not being covered here. There is no restaurant, no room service, and not much you can walk to besides a strip mall sushi place. This is a motel in a desolate part of town full of largely abandoned strip malls. I love hotels, and I hate this place. A low-end motel with a coat of hipster-orange paint is still a low-end motel.

The area was Beautiful but that's where it stops! The Facility was not maintained properly, the floors in the room stayed dirty the whole time we were there, no one vacuumed the floor because the same trash was there daily. The shower has a frosted glass wall that is directly beside the walkway, people passing by could see what you were doing, and it was an invasion of privacy. The grout lines in the bathroom in some areas were white some gray and some filthy black. The shower floor did not have a high enough lip on it so the water from the shower saturated the floor. The TV in the room was too small to see from the bed and the cable was recently changed so the remote control did not work. The wake up calls I requested never came through, I had to call each day and find out where they were and got a different excuse each day. The bedroom also did not have a place to put your clothes, just a table with no chair. Over all this would not be a place I would like to stay again until changes are made.

This was the most disgusting hotel we have ever been to. The room had mold present in several places and the floor was covered in grime. We literally checked out a few minutes after seeing the room and we are trying to get a refund from the hotel. This hotel is the poster child for health code violations.

When I booked Biba [...] I was attracted to its funky retro style and the price was right. I didn't read the reviews until after booking my trip and was a little worried by one guests vindictive remarks. I have stayed in countless mid-range hotel chains and contrary to that review Biba was clean and attractive, the rooms cozy with good bathrooms and the outdoor areas private and serene. Housekeeping and staff were friendly and helpful. Virtually a bridge away from Palm Beach and its glamour, Biba is a great choice for the savy traveler.

First of all, I NEVER COMPLAIN, I understand when things go wrong or something doesnt work 100%, its not a big deal, but....I booked there because I had to take my medical board exam at a location down the street. The room was loud, next to the street, with the street light blaring in the room. There was a PUBIC HAIR ON COMFORTER on the comforter and the ROOM WAS FILTHY. I called for a 645am wake up call to make it on time for the most important test of my life, but luckily for me I also set my phone, bc I did not receive a wake up call, NO WAKE UP CALL, and would have missed my boards if left to mgmt of Biba hotel. But it gets better.... NO WARM WATER. Yup freeeeeeeeezing cold shower to start my morning off, and when I arrived for my free breakfast, there was no one there. one of the staff members said "you;ll have to come back in 15 minutes because she slept in." So NO BREAKFAST. I called the office to complain, left a message for the manager to call me, but NO MANAGER, no phone call, NO ACCOUNTABILITY at all. try reading some of the reviews here that arent obvious advertisments for this rip off establishment.
