Great place, especially for the money

All the staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Hotel has lots of charm depite the fact that's it's on a ... 'sterile' stretch of 4 lane inner city business district (still safe & centrally located). Our room was large, well-maintained and spotless. I especially appreciated the tile floors. They fit in with the general decor and it seems so much cleaner than carpet. Lobby & bar/restaurant area were also spotless & the dining area was especially attractive. We only stayed 1 night, did not eat or swim there. Would highly recommend to any traveler, even if they aren't on such a tight budget as are.

went for an over night trip to a concert. taxi got there and back quickly. located in a part of the city where lots within ... reach. pool awesome. room large and clean. matress a little hard to sleep on entire night. linens were very nice though.

i think this is tampa's hidden secret. we only needed a room for one night before our cruise, i searched the net thoroughly ... for hotels that offered shuttle service to the cruise port and no other hotel offered it except the tahitian,as well as taking us back to the airport after our cruise, and they did that too as a courtesy. every one was very friendly and ready to meet your every need.our room was clean and ready for us as we arrived early before check-in, so of course we had to get something to eat, the food was outstanding. then on to the pool, that too was excellent. so over all i defenitaly would recommend it and would stay there again the next time we cruise!!!!!

Exotic getaway with great service

We just booked an overnite stay before sailing out for a cruise the next day but we were impressed with both the breakfast at ... the restaurant and the limo service. We had almost two hours to wait before we could check in at the port so [...], the limo driver working the desk, graciously volunteered to take us to the International Plaza for that time. He had to drive some other guests to the port first so he worked us in around them. We would like to thank him personally!

The Tahitian Hotel and Spa was a throwback to quaint, island charm bed and breakfast. Our rooms were very spacious with ... every convenience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The ambiance was such that if you forgot you were in Tampa, you could imagine you were in a Hotel in Barbados, Aruba, or any island. Spent our evenings by the pool with a glass of wine and good company...Terrific place to stay!

The food was very good. Never a need to leave hotel to eat. We sat by the rock fountains and had leisurely meals. No one rushed you out and we chatted with the Staff as if we were old friends.

I feel we got what we paid for. The hotel was nice enough. We had a nice time at the pool. But I was really scared to use the ... shower. There were cracks in the shower tile, that made it look dirty and old. Housekeeping started cleaning rooms at like 9am. The pillows covers didn't fully cover the pillows. With that all said, we loved the pool.

The hotel was very nice, and the staff friendly and accommodating. The rooms were big and the pool extremely nice (&heated). ... The only thing was the bed we had was very hard. Some family stayed with us in an upgraded room (very nice just more expensive), and there queen bed was soft, so I guess it could just depend on the room!

The hotel was prefect for our needs. For a non-commercialized named hotel, the place was clean and the staff was very ... helpful. I was really impressed by the size of the rooms for the amount we paid. The nice feeling of home was given when you noticed all the little added details. The bathroom was huge and they provided nice all natural toiletries and the towels were very soft. The shower was AWESOME! The water pressure was the best i have seen in a long time. The hotel was walking distance to all of your needs and mins away from downtown, hyde park, malls, and such. The pool was pretty nice as well. The hammocks and tiki theme was exactly what we wanted in our pool side adventures. This is a must stay hotel. We will definitely stay here again!!

The customer service was amazing. The shuttle service was awesome and ran until 9 at night and they were kind enough to take ... you to go anywhere you wanted. The room we got was the double cabana we couldnt have asked for a room better than that for the price we payed. The pool was great too. The whole place had such a relaxing atmosphere. The food was also great. It was definitly an experiance we will never forget. Even though it is located on a busy road everything you could possibly need was in walking distance. We will definitly be going back this year. Props on this Hotel and Management!

The rooms were clean and quiet (despite being an older hotel). The location was right off a fairly busy highway, but the ... most of the rooms and back behind this road and we weren't affected by the noise (and I am a light sleeper!). The restaurant was great - easy to get into and the food was a great value and good quality for breakfast and lunch. Easy to find this place from the interstate.

Basically me and my fiancee when down to tampa for her birthday weekend and were very happy with the overall experience at ... the resort. it was located close enough to the places we wanted to visit [the castle/ the dali museum]. the staff was helpful and we enjoyed are stay. the room was quite comfy even though we had two double beds instead of a king...but besides that we would stay there on future visits to tampa.

If you wanna go to Ybor or theme parks this resort is right in the middle so if you dont mind a 20 minute drive anywhere in tampa or st. pete then this place should do the job.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant, newly renovated rooms, quite comfortable. Close to South Tampa Bay area ... and convenient to family and friends, as opposed to airport area hotels - that although larger - are further away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but wish the rooms were a little nicer in appearance. While clean, they were a bit boring, ... painted walls of another color other than white would have been more appealing. The staff was excellent. Nite front desk clerk extremely helpful and Cathy in the restaurant was wonderful.

We stayed at the Tahitian Inn and Cafe in Tampa during Gasparilla weekend. The restaurant had a diverse menu and the food was ... great and the portions were large. The hotel was very nice but the part we stayed in was more like a motel - outside corridors. The room was very nice - comfortable, clean and spacious. The location was convenient - on a busy road but very close to shopping and dining and a short drive to downtown (which was the reason we were in Tampa anyway). We were able to walk to either an Einstein Brothers or a Starbucks coffee shop. I would stay here again and I would recommend the hotel to my friends.
