Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel

Had the best time in Tampa. The hotel was perfectly located. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was just what I needed if not better. The pool was amazing. The 24 hr fitness center had excellent equipment. Other hotels I have stayed at had mediocre fitness centers but this one was perfect. The in-hotel restaurant had a great breakfast buffet. The laundry service was fast. The entire hotel was WiFi capable including all the rooms. The in-hotel gift shop was well-stocked with anything you could need. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in down-town Tampa.

No frig. No microwave. No parking - making it mandatory valet service at $16 a day. Price was 15% cheaper on hotel website than [...]. My bad for not checking it first or checking the [...]so-called price guarantee first. But downtown Tampa was delightful - great restaurants within walking distance. Children's Museum nearby with a great dancing fountain open for playing children.

Really enjoyed the stay. The personal was very helpful and friendly.

Flew in for a concert at the Forum. Stayed one night and had no issues what so ever. $16 for parking would be my only gripe but that is typical for that area. All went well, staff were friendly and the place was clean and quiet as it could be with a bunch of metal heads there to party. Great job Sheraton.

Central download location, 10 minute walk from Convention Center. Free wireless and wired internet. Would stay there again.

Was in Tampa for a convention...10 minute walk to Convention Center. The staff was friendly, good sized rooms with balconies overlooking the river, the rooms were clean but it is an older hotel. Restaurant/bar in lobby has decent food and nice staff if you don't feel like going out. I'd stay there again, but it doesn't offer anything out of the ordinary.

I attended a conference in Tampa and selected Sheraton because it is within walking distance to the conference center. The staff was great. The shuttle service was very nice because the hotel is not located near many restaurants. The only issue I had was a bad wifi status strength in my room and at the computers in the business center. I was told at check out that they would look into that issue and it is not normal for them.

Very friendly and helpful staff with a special kudos to the restaurant/bar manager. Very comfortable beds. No hair dryer -- an oversight at this level, but possibly only important if you have hair. Probably overpriced at their regular rates but a decent enough place if you need a comfortable place to sleep. (Look for a deal.) Computers in lobby with 45 minutes of free internet with a printer for your boarding pass, etc. A half mile or less walk to the convention center and a good choice if nearer hotels price you out.

This is in most respects a nice hotel. There are a few quirks in the streetscape that make it a little less approachable than it should be, but it is in a central location. The hotel's gift shop didn't have a Sunday New York Times -- I had to walk to another hotel's gift shop to get one. Room was fine, a little larger than average which was good for our family of four. The big problem was that we arrived on Christmas, and while the hotel was ostensibly open, it many respects it wasn't really. The hotel's restaurant was closed, room service was closed, and the hotel's shuttle wasn't working. They contracted with a van company, but did complimentary rides only 'til 7:00 pm -- which didn't give us a lot of time to get dinner. (There wasn't anything we could walk to!) The staff was nice and offered advice, but our feeling was that the hotel's owners' should have stayed closed on Christmas given how little they were prepared to do for guests.
