Sailport Waterfront Suites

I stayed here for 4 days. Sailport Hotel is so beautiful. Since a balcony faces west, you can see the most beautiful sunset in your room with lovely Tampa sea. There are few hotels in Rocky point, I think that this Sailport is the only hotel, where people can watch the far horizon (in fact, not real horizon). Hotel has a nice artificial sand beach. There are a beautiful swing, bonfire (working at night around 2 hours, no windy day), and lovely beach decoration. Swimming pool is also clean and nice. And staffs are very kind. I strongly recommend you if you visit Tampa. If you want to go to downtown, there is only one bus line of #200. It comes only at 6:15am, 7:15am, and 9:00am. And perhaps twice evening. When you come back to hotel, the #200 bus starts only at 4:40pm, and 5:10pm. If you want to go to downtown, traffic is little bit inconvenient, but that is fine due to an express line. You can use also rent a car in the airport, and parking fee in Tampa downtown is cheap. Minor point is their free shuttle bus is available until 11 pm.

Enjoyed my stay at Sailport waterfront suites. My Suite was very clean and well kept. Separate enclosed bedroom, full kitchen, living room, bathroom and balcony with beautiful view of Tampa Bay made it a complete home away from home experience. Will definitely stay there again. Well recommended.

I ended up setting up a weekend for the Bucs and Saints game, and we chose to stay at this hotel. Very nice hotel, great view of the bay from the balcony. Very close to nice restaurants, and I am hoping we come back to this hotel soon!

The location and safety offered by Sailport was excellent. I just found it to be very odd that the rooms were definetly well represented in their add. There were no bunk beds and the rooms were extremely narrow. The maid service never came by to freshen our room. No fresh blankets and towels even after a call was made. Had to send the kids down to the pull to get towels. For the money I expected soft beds and pillows, not hard mattresses and empty pillows. Couldn't even get into the closet because to door was off the hinges. Other than that the view was great!

My experience in this hotel was bad. I stayed for 7 night the pool was closed for 3 days, so I was only able to use it for two days since I have to trevel it he first and the last day. The sofa in the living room is old and uncomfortable to just sit on. I woke every morning on the noise from construction workers in the hotel. It was a Very bad expririence for a vacation.

A couple of important things to note: I was able to book a smoking room but was informed when I arrived that there are NO SMOKING ROOMS. Instead what is offered is an ashtray on the patio. While I'm perfectly fine having my cigarette on the patio, I booked a smoking room so I wouldn't have to. Also, there is a $30 hold placed on your account upon arrival that is supposed to drop off upon checkout, regardless of if you have paid in advance. I checked out at 10:45 am on September 26, and the hold on my account is not set to expire until September 28th. Perhaps this was in the fine print, but I never saw it if it was. The room was comfortable; tiled floors and an excellent view from the patio, stainless steel appliances. The only complaint I have about the room itself is that the linens on the bed were incredibly musty. There were visible clumps of dust on the bed...ew. My overall point: great view, but not worth the hold on my account and dusty beds. I can't see myself staying there again.

The place was very nice. Did no know that it was totally non smoking. The van picking me up at the Airport was great, but did not know until later that the shuttle did not operate early in morning. Staff did arrange a Taxi pickup in morning. I did not know that this place was primarily a Condo, that rents out rooms.

Very clean, nice location and perfect ocean view. I will go back there again.

We spent 4 nights here while visiting family in the Tampa area. The room was spacious (almost bigger than our apartment) and it had a nice view of Tampa Bay. The staff here is super friendly and recommended things for us to do in the area. The only downfall here is that while there's a view of Tampa Bay... they only have a small sandy area. There is no beach access from this location. It is really close to several nice beaches, but you will have to drive to reach them.

Nicer place than expected Liked pool and sand area. Wish there was a restaurant but service was good.
