Beautiful Bay View

This facility's pool sits on the Tampa Bay. The view from the pool and the hotel balcony is beautiful. However, the balcony's floor is covered in a worn green carpet. The unit was dark and poorly designed. The bedroom was extremely small. An iron and ironing board were in the closet. The kitchen was tiny and the cabinets were greasy to the touch and falling apart. The bathroom had been updated and was clean. This facility has a nice laundry room. Freshly brewed coffee and doughnuts are served daily. A complimentary paper is also available outside the office. Attraction brochures are available in the office. Snacks are also sold in the office. Tickets for Busch Garden can also be purchased. The staff was friendly. The Rocky Point area is in the middle of a revitalization. I wouldn't be surprised if the Sailport is torn down. Once again, the view of the bay is gorgeous. I would return to the Rocky Point area but, would not recommend the Sailport for a family. The unit we occupied was extremely oudated and small. However, sitting by the pool and taking in the bay breeze while the children played in the pool was awesome. The pool area also has a very nice deck that literally sits on the bay and is furnished so you can enjoy an outdoor meal or lounge and take in the view.

Terrible accomodations

This Hotel was disgusting. the place and rooms smelled like damp, mold. The kitchen appliances were old and rusty. I placed a bottle of water on the top shelf and it broke taking the other shelves with it. The room was small and felt damp. No towels except a stained fill crusy one we found in the closet. The room was dusty, the bed linen smelled. we found rotting meat in the garbage disposal. We left this hotel early. We spent one night and found another hotel down the way. The nicest thing was the directions to where things were in the room and the lobby. Who puts carpet on a balcony in florida...It rains to much...for that. Not a good choice.

Not such a good deal

I totally booked this placed based on the website but when I arrived I was extremely disappointed. The carpets look horrible, the couch was old, the TVs were ancient, and the bed was uncomfortable to sleep on. The location was fine because it was right off the highway but I wouldnt stay here again.

their information is misleading.

NO breakfast provided. If you need two beds, read the information properly. Otherwise, you may end up sleeping on a dirty couch bed, and ended up paying $90 for a single queen bed. I definitely do NOT recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a comfort for the money you pay. Don't fool yourself with the pictures (water view) of the hotel posted.

Family Vacation

Nice View was best thing, room was small - sleeps 6 is not true, bunk beds only rated for 40lb child. Sleeper sofa was falling apart - no springs? Kitchen poorly stocked, Can opener did not work and only had small setting of dishes and glasses for 4 people. Had to ask for towels every day, only gave us 2 per day ? Would not stay there again!

Sailport Waterfront Suites

I would not recommend this hotel, it was outdated and not clean. Our room was very small and smelled of smoke and mildew. The room was located right next to the main office and it was very noisy late into the evening and very early the next day. Checked out after 1 night.

Outdated Room plus no Crib as requested or bunk rails

Expected a suite hotel room with nice amenities in great location. Location was very good and the outdoor decor of place was nice. Our room smelled bad, was very outdated with very lumpy worn sofa bed. Also, there were no safety rails for bunk bed despite getting charged for extra space/room size. Also, no crib or even apology for fact that resevation had crib requested and listed on confirmation. Left us in a scramble!! When discussed at check out, the personnel criticized me for not asking for bunk bed rails and told me to take my problem with no crib to website

My review of Sailport Waterfront Suites

The sailport was in a very beautiful setting on the water, the rooms were large and the kids suites were perfect for the family, however, you can tell that they do not periodic checks on a monthly basis because the bed in our room was lopsided, the sink in the kitchen was clogged the garbage disposal did not work and the dish water was full of black water, i had to clean the kitchen before i could use it
