Sailport Waterfront Suites

We found it to be a central location to travel for our vacation. We seen friends in largo 15 minuites away. We went to clearwater beach for the day 20 minuites away. The sand looked to be pure white. It's about a 1 hour 45 minuite drive to Orlando where we spent the day visiting our friends on vacation at there condo. Spent several days at the pool where it was clean and heated. the only problem we found was the the couch was very unconfortable and very hard when watching TV.

The hotel was in a good location near the airport and had a view of the bay. The sunset beach area was pretty and relaxing. The staff was polite and provided a sheet with directions to restaurants and attractions in the area. The room was large and included a large flat screen TV in the living room; microwave, full-sized fridge and sink in the kitchen; and another TV in the separate bedroom. The towels and toiletries were the only thing I didn't really like.

We stayed here for a quick overnight before heading to the Tampa airport. It was convenient to the airport and the staff was friendly. If you are expecting a traditional hotel... not the place for you. We arrived at 11pm and stayed until 6:30 the next morning to catch a flight. It took about 20 minutes of driving around the complex to find the check-in located on the 2 floor in the center of the complex and we only found it after getting another guest to help us.

The Sailport Waterfront Suites was a perfect stop for an overnight stay before an early flight home. The staff was effective, the room was spacious and clean and the location was first rate.

There is a beach close by but not at the hotel. It is only ocean front.

Everyting was great except there are no restar rants or grocery stores nere by. Also, no side walks to walk on if there was any place to go.

The Sail Port Hotel was nice. The Hotel Staff & the great reastaurants that the hotel had recommmended. Would definitly return with hope of 2 beds.

It was a huge room with a full kitchen, living room, balcony bedroom and bathroom. Each room faces the water, although it is a distance away. The room is clean, but old. You sort of feel like you are staying in an Aunt's old beach cottage. Great value though and I would reccomend it.

I found the hotel very comfortable; but, in everything I read about it, there was supposed to be dining places within walking distances. I think this is a joke! There are no sidewalks, the entrance to the hotel is long and winding and very replete with bushes. It is difficult to drive out because of the bushes and lack of sight of cars coming at you -- let alone walking. The Bahamas restaurant was also stated as being across the street ?? What street? The busy highway or the water area?? All that was available was coffee and a very sweet pound cake in the morning. Because I had no car with me, I really felt limited. Other than this, it is really a nice place -- beautiful view, places to walk and comfortable large rooms. They should be more honest with advertising in the dining area.

Existing reviews indicated the rooms weren't that great, but we selected this hotel anyway to be close to the Rusty Pelican restaurant and to have a deck viewing the water. The room was dated but still fine for a quick overnight close to the airport. More importantly, I forgot a diamond necklace and gold earrings in the bathroom and called the next day about them. Miraculously - housekeeping staff had them in their lost and found and are shipping them to me now!
