Emergency travel
Quick Stay
We stayed here for a quick overnight before heading to the Tampa airport. It was convenient to the airport and the staff was friendly. If you are expecting a traditional hotel... not the place for you. We arrived at 11pm and stayed until 6:30 the next morning to catch a flight. It took about 20 minutes of driving around the complex to find the check-in located on the 2 floor in the center of the complex and we only found it after getting another guest to help us.

Very Nice Place
Excellent. Only problem was communicating with lobby person. She didn't speak very clear english and I had a hard time understanding her. I went to the wrong room because her writing on the room key brochure was very unclear. Other than that my stay was excellent !

Not what I expected
My experience in this hotel was bad. I stayed for 7 night the pool was closed for 3 days, so I was only able to use it for two days since I have to trevel it he first and the last day. The sofa in the living room is old and uncomfortable to just sit on. I woke every morning on the noise from construction workers in the hotel. It was a Very bad expririence for a vacation.

Great getaway
The place was very nice. Did no know that it was totally non smoking. The van picking me up at the Airport was great, but did not know until later that the shuttle did not operate early in morning. Staff did arrange a Taxi pickup in morning. I did not know that this place was primarily a Condo, that rents out rooms.

Nice Suite
Suite was well layed out and comfortable including full sized fridge and stove. Nice view of Tampa Bay and good pool.TV's old tube style with bad picture. Sailport suites are clean, with few amenities (no lounge or food) located near airport but shuttle not available for early morning flights. Overall good value

Rating two night stay
First stay in the Sailport. Every staff member I met was most friendly and personable. Room nicely furnished. View nice - could have enjoyed balcony if weather had been warmer! Only complaint was group of guests on same floor who returned between 2 and 3 AM each night, talking loudly to each other , knocking on their room door to gain entrance. Exited in the morning about 7 AM, exhibiting same noisy behavior. There was a clearly posted sign "Quiet Please" as you entered the hall but this went completely ignored. Cannot control behavior of some people!

Great hotel location
The hotel had loud music playing outside; ridiculous! You are at a bayside resort and want to enjoy the beauty and peace and quiet.

Cant beat the view.
I first found this place when I was looking for a place for 2 nights in May. Since then I have stayed at it twice again, and most likey anytime I'm back in Tampa. Extremely close to the airport, right on tampa bay. Ive always stayed in the main building facing west. Gorgeous views of the water, especially at sunset. The best thing about this place is that it's in the same price range as most budget hotels, but it's basically a one bedroom waterfront condo with a living room and full kitchen and balcony. I would definitely recommend this place. However, make sure you stock up on what you need, the nearest 7-11 is about 10 minutes away by car.
