Nice hotel
We had a problem with cleanliness when we checked in, but were promptly moved to a different room when we told the front desk. The property was nice and very adequate for our needs. It is not someplace I would recommend for a long vacation as it is not in a resort type area, more of a commercial/industrial type area, but the view was beautiful, the sun deck was very nice. We stayed as our last night of a long weekend in the area to be closer to the airport for an early morning flight. It very much suited our needs. There is only one elevator which was very slow but as we are young, healty adults with young, healthy teenagers, that was not a problem for us. Also, they had some GOOD coffee and in the morning before leaving for our flight, they offered some donuts and danishes. All in all, I would give it a 4 out of 5.

There is a shopping mall within a few miles and we ate at the Cheesecake Factory which was AMAZING! There were a couple restaurants within walking distance but we did not eat there.

Needs updating
Nice location but older property. This location needs to be updated, but based on surrounding properties, will probably be sold, demolished, and replaced with a high price spread.

Nice view from the room
The location is extremely convenient to the airport. The view of the water and setting sun was awesome. Rooms were spacious and well sound proofed. Our original room had a problem with the air conditioner, however the hotel staff was accomodating and assigned us another room quickly. The location is in a business district, therefore stores and a variety of restaurants are not within walking distance.

The restaurant that you can see across the bay from the hotel pool had a nice selection of food and the cheesecake was the best and the piece was huge and delicious.

Nice staff but the unit was shop worn...needed remodeling.Not sound proof at all. Could here outside noises easily.

Sailport was very convenient and comfortable.
Sailport was just what I needed for our trip to Florida. Being on the water and extremely close to the Tampa Airport mase it very convenient.

lovely setting
Setting on the bay was great. Overall feeling of cleanliness as questionable. no in house dining. Musty smell in suite detracted from an overall good experience.

The location on Tampa Bay was nice but my one beedroom condo was in back, not a good view of the bay. The condo was small but clean and the Hotel staff were great. We had to walk or take a short drive to most food locations. No beach at this condo. A good place to stay for the price. I would recomend this hotel for a short stay.

View, view, view
The stay was worth it just for the view. I asked for a better view and my room was changed immediately. It was like staying in a one bedroom apartment. The down side was that there is no restaurant. I didn't even see vending machines.

Great place to relax
The Sailport Waterfront Suites was a very nice, the rooms were nice; however the bed was hard, and we only received one little bar of soap and hair shampoo for a 4 day 3 night stay. Due to my back problems I am unsure if I will be able to say again unless an updated mattress is in the room. We enjoyed the kitchen and living room area, since my husband gets up quite early, it gave me time to sleep. Also the views of the Bay from the balcony was great!

A lot for the money
I thought this hotel offered a lot for the money it cost. There are no windows open to the bay in the bedroom. And the room is small. Overall it still was not a bad room for the money. It does have a fully stocked kitchen.

Bahama Breeze is across the street and very nice dining. Bobby's Bistro is at Clearwater Beach, worth the short drive.
