Pretty bad hotel. Room was musty and humid and didn't feel very clean. The hotel was supposed to have free internet access ... which is why I booked it. In my room however the internet did NOT work. I was told that there was no router in that room! All the other rooms were booked so they couldn't move me.[...]

The hotel was less than five minutes from the University of Central Florida and across the street from Busch Gardens. ... Restaurants are close by, some within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast provided a nice variety of items for persons on special diets (diabetic, low sodium). Staff were helpful. We would stay there again. Good deal for the money!!

The cab is well worth the $5 fare to Busch Gardens. Eat before you get there because the food inside is quite expensive and again very mediocre. But, the rides and shows are truly wonderful at Busch Gardens. Really enjoyed Howl O Scream and ate afterwards at an IHOP nearby.

We booked this room to go to Busch Gardens as it was located adjacent to the grounds and we figured we could walk. Well, it ... was about a mile or so, so the best way was a cab considering all you have to walk when you get inside. The fare was only $5 each way, so that was better than the parking fee! It's not really walking distance unless you're a kid. The front desk was friendly and helpful, calling the cab for us. It was just a hotel/motel, nothing really special, nothing really terrible. But then, it's not really that expensive either. I would rate this as a very mediocre hotel. Free breakfast was included, but we had to leave prior to the opening time, so no official comment on that. I could predict also mediocre, for some reason, I have that feeling.

The hotel was in a great location. Just a block away from the busch gardens exit, and about 10 min from the Hard Rock Casino ... (utilizing back roads). The bathroom was the smallest I have experienced in a hotel, and the towels were rough, but the people were nice and the room was very clean. The parking lot was very poorly lit by our room, and some strange people were trying to get our attention in the early morning hours.

Before booking this hotel I read the other reviews. It was actually nicer than I expected. When we walked into the room it ... appereard clean and well put together. It was perfectly located for our purpose of our trip...Hallo-Scream 09. I have to say for the price and location it was a great deal. I would definitely book again.

Great cheap hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Busch Gardens is about a 25 minute walk down a busy ... street in a sketchy neighborhood (what can you do? Busch Gardens is IN a sketchy neighborhood) but it beat paying for parking, waiting a half hour for the tram and then wrestling with the parking lot traffic. The room was nothing fancy, the fan in the bathroom that automatically comes on with the light was broken and pretty loud and the A/C unit was a little old and a little louder than you'd expect but it cooled the room just fine and wasn't so loud that it'd wake you up when it kicked on at night. For fifty bucks it was quite a bit nicer than I expected. I've stayed in Holiday Inns and many other chain hotels that I paid more than twice as much for that weren't this nice.

Not a Good Stay

I thought I was getting a suite not a Motel room. I had the impression that I was getting two double beds (I did) and a sofa ... bed (I did not). I did not get the sofa bed. I do not like the Motel appreance, I prefer Hotel or a suite. The AC had this running water sound and it kept me up all night. I really did not enjoy that stay. When checking in there was one staff on duty and she answered the phone and handle the check in guest. The wait was too long. I will never stay there again.

Was not horrible for the money but would never pay full price to stay there. Its near Busch Gardens but on the not so ... atractive side of town. Walls are thin, luckly was not that busy when we went. Only heard a couple car doors slam in the night. Room was pretty clean except the bathroom wall behind door was a little dirty. A/C cut on and off all nite. room would get hot not long after and it has a thermastat on the wall across from unit set on 71(I never set mine at home below 75)very noisy. Breakfast was ok. Pool was nice.

OK, But Nothing Special

We decided to try this location that was about a mile closer to Busch Gardens than the other LaQuinta on Fowler... it was 10 ... bicks more and WOW- soooo not worth it. Please stay at the other locations (2 new ones withing 3 miles). This one was older and smaller...the rooms had new beds, but old carpet and flaking ceilings and not nearly enough parking near the rooms of this motel style hotel. The staff was nice,breakfast was good and if you are taking a cab, not driving to the park then this is much cheaper on fare. But overall, we won't be staying at this location again.

The Best Family Vacation EVER!!!

My kids and myself had a great time! The room was spacious, and the pool was big and clean. It was right across the street ... from Busch Gardens and within a close distance to the many attractions that we went to, such as the Museum of Scince and Industry(MOSI), The Florida Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, Sea World and of course, Busch Gardens! The staff was so friendly, could not ask for a better group of people!!! We came to this very hotel last year for a shorter vacation and loved it then too! Thank you so much for making our vacation so wonderful, my kids are constantly thanking me for this trip and the many memories that were made!

One of the best atrractions here in Tampa is the Museum of Science and Industry! They have so many amazing exhibits, such as the Tornado simulator in Disasterville, the Imax theater has given me a new found respect for Vincent Van Gogh, and to see his paintings on the IMAX was too awesome for words!!! This is something special, and it has something for everyone, the kids will love it and you will learn new things too!!!

This hotel is just minutes from Lowry Park Zoo, the Florida Aquarium and directly across from Busch Gardens. It's not top of the line by any means but was sufficient for a single parent on a budget.

Busch Gardens is less than 1 mile by road and only a 6 miles to downtown, an easy shuttle ride or cab ride if you do not wish to drive it. Shuttle service is reliable and takes reservations on short notice.
