hotel in Tampa
It was what you paid for. It needed serious renovations, but we were only really using the room for sleeping and showers. As stated, you get what you pay for. If I was going to spend longer than a weekend here, I would have spent the extra money for a nicer hotel. The staff were decent (always on the phone, but nice). We didn't go to the pool because we walked by and it was clean, just not what you would expect of a 2011 swimming pool. They painted a hallway and you could smell that pretty bad, but the smell wasn't in the room.

we went to a concert and stayed here becase it was across the street from fairgrounds.

A geat hotel at a great price
This hotel was as all La Quinta's I have stayed in , very nice and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location of this hotel put you close to access Hwy 4 to orlando as well as close to Tampa downtown for all the attractions such as the Auarium and the Lowery Zoo, and all the historic downtown attractions. I recommend staying here.

Short drive from hotel
There is a little restaraunt inside the Tampa Bay history center called The Columbian Cafe. It is inexpensive the food is great and the service was exceptional.

Don't do it...
Bugs in the room, Dirty carpet, smelled pretty bad in room and hallway...Super location but that's it...Oh, yeah...I'm really tired of the waffle iron at all the breakfast bars...cereal and a waffle...Have a nice day...Where's McDonalds...

Could be better...
The hotel was OK. We have stayed in other La Quintas before and this one is the worst out of all so far... First of all, the room key didn't work, so every time we neded to go to the room we had to ask the people at the front desk to open the room for us... The room was nice and clean, but the bathroom needs improvements. There were mold stains all over the walls and ceiling and the bath tub was dirty. We washed it off with water, however, we shouldn't have to. Breakfast was very simple and nice.

La Quinta needs dramatic renovations
This hotel is serious lacking in roach management, mold issues and swaping rooms from non-smoking to smoking without notice to customer. Ended up in a double room.

Great stay... Awesome value!
The location was very convenient because we went across the street for a concert at the Ford amphitheatre. The staff was friendly, and pets are welcome. Great value!
