not the worst hotel...

The location was perfect for my needs. However, the room was small and crowded. The most disappointing was being notified of the $8 per night parking fee which was not on Orbitz web site and not on the hotel's website. There are no other parking options in the vicinity, and it was an unguarded, unsecure lot.

Horrible

I had some property stolen from my room while I was away from the hotel all day. I reported the problem to the manager on duty who told me that he would look into it. The next day he reported that the housekeeper said that she didn't take anything so he decided to look in the lost and found, amazingly my property was in the lost in found after the manager spoke to the housekeeper. Completely unacceptable.

The bad

There was no hot water for a shower in the morning. Had to fix the toiler myself because the water kept running. The morning breakfast was not good. The good part about the stay was the location and the shuttle to the cruse ship.

Not Recommended

Our room smelled like mildew. We found long dark hairs in our bed and in the bathroom and blood spots on the sheets. It was gross and way overpriced.

Falling Apart

The local area is fair at best with minimal parking lot lighting. The lobby looks great, but the rooms and hallways are that of a very unkept property. The room had iron burns in the dirty and old carpet, the bathroom door was actually falling off the hinges, the top three screws were missing, and it smells very bad. The vending area had broken glass as somebody in the past had smashed their way thur and it now the empty machine just sits there. The walls are paper thin you can hear the next room clear as day, and don't ask for a wakeup call, you won't get it.I would stay away from this hotel at all costs, pay a few bucks more you will be glad you did.

Not impressed

After our first day they took our old towels but didn't replace them. I called the front desk and they made us go down 12 floors to get them instead of bringing them to us. One of the elevators broke on the second day. Fitness center was awful: no water, no mats, and no handweights. All they had was a bike, an elliptical and a messed-up bowflex. If you manage to follow the poor signage, you then have to walk down a flight of narrow, dark, and dirty stairs to get to the pool. The restaurant had no quick snack options. Rooms are no better than the quality you would see at a Red Roof or Super 8. On the plus side it was very close to downtown and public transportation.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Two great breakfast spots: First Watch and Moxies are about a 1/2 mile southeast of the hotel.

Not good!

The lobby was beautiful so I was excited to see the rest of the hotel I was disappointed to see that the hallways and room did not match the beautiful decor of the lobby. My key did not work so i could not get into my room so I waited in the lobby with my family until someone could let us in and the person kept us waiting. The rooms were small and was disappointed with the view. I was charged $8 for parking which I think should be free for guests, there was a concert going on that evening so they rented out the parking to concert goers and they were only charged $5, which was not fair but I was not going to fuss over $3. I would not return to this hotel.
