Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites TAMPA NEAR BUSCH GARDENS-USF

We arrived and found that the room had two small rooms. The bathroom was very tight -- the sink was outside. Their was very little room around the beds. When we went for breakfast we told them that we needed to be out in 30 min. They said no problem but in 30 min. our breakfast had still not arrived. We left, without having eaten.

This hotel is very near Busch Gardens, malls, restauants, etc. Very clean , nice courtyard and pool area. The staff is very friendly. There is a Village Inn on one side and a great Deli on the other (short walk). I have stayed here before and will stay again when in the area. They have a cafe at the hotel which is open all day. Rooms are large with separate bedroom and living area.

Older hotel but ok for it's age. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Coffee shop needs help.

I actually loved how the hotel was located in a convient area, the staff was pleasant and the pool could of been a lil warmer, the only thing i would of liked is if the beds were bigger!!

Rooms were very clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and very helpful. Only one minor problem was the maid showed up to clean our room and did not speak any english. You try to tell someone to come back in a half hour that did not understand a word of english. Only a minor problem, I would stay there again and recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel. The room was clean. The televisions were outdated and we had problems getting ours to work. The bar was only open for a few hours in the evening. Located very close to Busch Gardens and places to eat.

We checked in and were pleased with the size of the room, the checking in was smooth and the clerk was very welcoming; everyone that work there was great to deal with. It's not a huge hotel with flat screen but was a perfect place to stay with a quick shuttle to Busch Gardens. We were able to walk to several restaurants and a 24 hour CVS. We also had delivery from a local pizza place so plenty of ways to get food even though we didn't rent a car. Check out was also easy. Maid service was daily, pool was clean and the kids enjoyed swimming even though it was chilly for the rest of us :)

[...] The hotel advertised that it had a hot tub/jaccuzi, heated pool and a shuttle service. these were the amenities I required for our stay.Upon arrival we were told that the hot tub/jaccuzi had not been in operation for years. At that time my back was quite sore and my wife suggested we go to another hotel that had a hot tub so I could relax my back...unfortunately If we left we would still be charged the full fee for cancelling our reservation, so we decided to stay and just lounge in the heated pool. Wrong again! The pool was cold! The patrons at the tiki bar were loud and using foul language while my children were close by, somewhat irate by now we went back to our room and I just wanted some relief from my back pain so I went into a hot shower...the non-slip mat in the tub was coming up and when i stepped on it black slime came out from underneath...disgusting!Also the carpets in the room were dirty and buckling up causing a tripping hazard for my kids. I am not normally one to complain but I felt others should be warned so that they will not make the same mistake I made by booking a room at this hotel. [...] By the way, this hotel was not the least expensive one on the list, it just goes to show you...higher price does not mean higher quality! I will never go back to this hotel!

One hour ride into Orlando, Universal and one hour over to Clearwater Beach. Close to USF, but tucked away in a very commercial, heavy traffic area with no place to go without a rental car. Can't really walk anywhere. Down the street from Busch Gardens, which we didn't go to because of several unfavorable reviews by other guests. Only served breakfast and dinner...we were around the pool during midday, so didn't have any access to food or munchies...just a coke machine (that took our money twice -- but we were reimbursed) -Did provide clean towels by the pool...a plus. Would have enjoyed a hot tub, more access to gift shops, inside dining opportunities, a clock radio that worked in the room, late night service when we requested toilet paper or more towels. The front desk clerk couldn't leave her post, so we were left stranded unless we walked down the three flights of stairs to pick up these items that should have been stocked in the room already.

This was a nice clean hotel, I would stay there again
