Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites TAMPA NEAR BUSCH GARDENS-USF

Just what we where looking Great job Friendly and quite at the same time

[...] The hotel advertised that it had a hot tub/jaccuzi, heated pool and a shuttle service. these were the amenities I required for our stay.Upon arrival we were told that the hot tub/jaccuzi had not been in operation for years. At that time my back was quite sore and my wife suggested we go to another hotel that had a hot tub so I could relax my back...unfortunately If we left we would still be charged the full fee for cancelling our reservation, so we decided to stay and just lounge in the heated pool. Wrong again! The pool was cold! The patrons at the tiki bar were loud and using foul language while my children were close by, somewhat irate by now we went back to our room and I just wanted some relief from my back pain so I went into a hot shower...the non-slip mat in the tub was coming up and when i stepped on it black slime came out from underneath...disgusting!Also the carpets in the room were dirty and buckling up causing a tripping hazard for my kids. I am not normally one to complain but I felt others should be warned so that they will not make the same mistake I made by booking a room at this hotel. [...] By the way, this hotel was not the least expensive one on the list, it just goes to show you...higher price does not mean higher quality! I will never go back to this hotel!

One hour ride into Orlando, Universal and one hour over to Clearwater Beach. Close to USF, but tucked away in a very commercial, heavy traffic area with no place to go without a rental car. Can't really walk anywhere. Down the street from Busch Gardens, which we didn't go to because of several unfavorable reviews by other guests. Only served breakfast and dinner...we were around the pool during midday, so didn't have any access to food or munchies...just a coke machine (that took our money twice -- but we were reimbursed) -Did provide clean towels by the pool...a plus. Would have enjoyed a hot tub, more access to gift shops, inside dining opportunities, a clock radio that worked in the room, late night service when we requested toilet paper or more towels. The front desk clerk couldn't leave her post, so we were left stranded unless we walked down the three flights of stairs to pick up these items that should have been stocked in the room already.

This was a nice clean hotel, I would stay there again

Our front desk welcome from [...] proved to be the beginning of a pleasant stay at the Best Western. Everyone on the hotel's staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The hotel's spacious grounds contain a rich assortment of local greenery that is well cared for. The pool is clean and inviting. From the hotel one is able to quickly access all major roads leading to neighboring cities and tourist sites.

This was a very nice place to stay. Staff was very friendly. Very close to Bush and Islands of Adventure with a shuttle to both. Room was clean and very utilitarian. We stayed at the Polonisian (disney) and the Hard Rock (Universal) and this hotel was better and significantly.

We had to have the card keys redone 3 times before they would work properly, there was no water, one time we knew about it, the other times not. also the sauna was not in service for all 4 days that we were there.

Kids went to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. Visited with sister. [...] was very competant handling an issue with the booking of the hotel between [...] and reservations. Staff was great. Only issue was the tub didn't drain very well and housekeeping showed up late in the afternoon or very early in the morning.Awesome restaraunt next door called Village Inn. Best breakfast ever with great wait staff.

Near lots of restaurants, Busch Gardens across the street, Beer factory across the street, very friendly staff, not too far back to the airport & not too far to the beach Very nice room would definitely stay at the Holiday Inn suites again.
