Nice hotel, ok location
The rooms were clean and comfortable. A good location near Disney but not much within walking distance. The pool area was nice and relaxing and the free breakfast was a definite bonus!

Great place!
We had a great time. The staff were VERY friendly and helpful with directions and services (port-a-crib and baby needs). The breakfast was perfect. The room was VERY comfortable. The room and bathroom had great space. They were doing remodeling in some hallways- the construction workers were very curtious and accomidating. We were okay w/ the location because we had a rental car- but if we didn't it would have been difficult to get around, because I only saw one eating place w/in walking distance. We would definitely stay there again- thank you!

the hotel was being updated so alot of work was being done but did not interfear with my sleep. The breakfast could have been bigger. Had a hard time unlocking my door but I don't know if it was me no knowing what i was doing. I stayed there 2 different nights with different rooms and had the same problem

Wrong Turned Into Right
I in error booked this hotel instead of its sister property, the Holiday Inn which is right next door and both hotels share amenities/pool. I was at first upset at my error but was pleasantly surprised to find out that this hotel was just as nice if not more so that its sister property. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was immaculate, very clean, comfortable bedding and housekeeping staff were very helpful and accommodative. I would recommend this hotel.

Make sure you check out the Bahama Breeze restaurant next door to the hotel. The food is wonderful!!!

Vacation hideaway close to beach
It was a great hotel . The breakfast attendant was unbelievable. She was very attentive toward all guest and assisted guest with their breakfast and kept the area clean. The front desk also did a great job making sure every one got what they needed. I wouldn't change anything. The room complimentary items could use a small bottle of non alcohol hair gel to their set up with the shampoo because I think it will be one more thing people would like.

Short drive from hotel
Take a 6 mile trip over to clear water for your alcohol at target and other places in the mall there . If your going to the beach that'd the best place to stop on the way. If you want a good resturant close by that would be Bahamas breeze.

great value & location
As a frequent visitor to the Tampa-Clearwater area, Rocky Point is my favorite place to stay: close to the airport but right on the water. The Hampton Inn has no beach, and its pool is tiny, but guests can use the larger pool at the Holiday Inn Express next door which overlooks the bay. Their shuttle will take you to the airport, a restaurant, or any other destination within 4 miles. The low nightly rate includes breakfast: not just juice, coffee, & packaged pastries, but eggs, meat, waffles, cereals, & yogurt, plus fresh fruit available all day. Fresh-baked cookies sometimes appear in the afternoon. Across the street is a walking path to a small park beside a lagoon. The hotel was comfortable, clean, & amazingly quiet for being full for Easter weekend. The staff was very pleasant & helpful. Highly recommended!
