I went to a concert at The Ritz Theatre. It was only a 2 mins walk from the venue which was awesome! The staff was friendly. ... I really liked that you had to have your key to get up the elevator the the rooms. They also served a great breakfast buffet!

Everything in Ybor City was an easy walk from the location of our hotel. The trolley was a half block away, a great way to ... ride around the city and to the downtown area. This was a great vacation!

If you are going on a cruise, this is the place to stay, park your car without worry about leaving it unprotected, and easy drop off and pick up from the cruise port!!

With my boyfriend, we really enjoyed the hotel, because it was quiet, clean and very good located: only 25min from St Pete ... Times Forum, where we went to enjoy a concert. So we really needed to rest in a quiet place after this crazy moment!

We arrived around 10:30 am, checkin was not until 3:00pm, but decided to see if we might get into room early. Rooms were not ... ready b/c check out was not until noon. Besides the 2 of us there were 2 other couples waiting to checkin. We waited at the hotel b/c we didn't think it would take that long to get the rooms ready. After checking with the registation desk 3 times they finally checked us in at 2:30 that afternoon. While we were being checked in another couple arrived and were told that their room was not ready either. When we were given our key to the room we arrived at our room and the cleaning staff was still cleaning the room. When we got ready to go out for dinner that evening the hotel cleaning staff was still cleaning rooms. I can understand not letting people into the rooms before checkout time for the previous day, however, since there were only 2 other couples besides us waiting for a room, I don't understand why they could not have checked us in at least by 1:00pm. The staff was not friendly or very informative as to the area. The area is Ybor City and is advertised as a historic downtown area. The area is very run down, mostly bars and no shopping to speak of. We were there for 2 nights and did not have a car. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with children, and I definitely would not recommend you get there before checkin time because your room will not be ready. While the price was reasonable I would pay more to stay at a hotel that had a friendly staff and in a better part of town. The pool was extermely small and only had sun in the am, the walk area around the pool was so narrow it was hard to put a chair there and still have room to walk around the pool safely.

I booked this hotel as a part of my Wife's surprise birthday party. This hotel is perfect if you are not traveling with kids. ... Also, this hotel is perfect if you are planning on visiting the Myriad hot night spots at channel side or right down the road on 7th avenue in Ybor city.

We really liked the hotel. There were great restaurants nearby. We ate at the Columbia restaurant. The food was good, but we ... should have dressed up more so we could have sat in the main dining area. There was also a neat Greek place nearby we would have tried if we'd been there more than one night. The hotel had a great breakfast buffet. They were very close to the trolley. We took the trolley down to Channelside and back for a reasonable price. We also loved the fact that there was a free shuttle to the cruise terminal. We were dropped off right up front and helped with our luggage. Did I mention the bedding at the hotel? It was wonderful!!

DUring our stay we went to a concert, 2 nights at a club, and did some shopping and ate dinner at the local eateries. It was ... a great place to get away from work life and just chill out for a relaxing weekend. It definitely a very vibrant area if you like night life.

The best alternative club in FLorida is definitely in Ybor City Tampa. Just a short walk to clubs, bars, and eateries.

I stayed at this Hotel after watching a concert at the Ford Amphitheater. It is located with in walking distance of many ... clubs, restaurants, and a cool place called Game Works (for arcade games). A short cab ride and you can be at Channel Side which is a great place for dining and entertainment. The receptionist was very sweet with a great smile. The concession area was fully stocked including beer and wine with plenty of snacks. The king size bed was super comfy, the room was clean, and the decorations were up to date. There is only a small amount of parking. I was lucky and found the last parking spot at midnight when I checked in. Several other parking lots are close, and open but you will need cash to pay.

When the Air Conditioner cycles it gets really quiet in the room, and I found myself waking up. So, on the thermostat I switched the fan to the "ON" position, and it was peaceful sleeping after that.

Walk to everything in Ybor!

Great location... BUT there is an additional parking fee and the garage fills up fast. I booked 2 queen beds on Orbitz.com, ... but they gave me a handicapped king. I called the front desk but the unfriendly help said the booking came through as a king and thats all she had. The room was clean and nice, and it took my 2 mins to walk to bars and restaurants. Centro Ybor ( Gameworks, Muvico, Urban Outfitters, Etc..)is about a 3-4 minute walk. My floor had a great view of Channelside and Downtown Tampa.

TONS of Bars, Clubs, Restaurants within 5 minutes. Movies, Theatre, Cabaret Shows, Cuban Cigar rolling, etc... Great location for Holidays like 4th of July, Cinco de Mayo, New Years Eve, etc...

Hotel was cheap, clean, and centrally located to Ybor if that's what you are up to. I would definitely stay again. The staff ... was very pleasant and the room was very clean something I was surprised at given Ybor - I would have expected more of a dive. Didn't try the pool or the fitness center although both looked fine albeit small. Went to the Greek restaurant down the street and was satisfied. Another interest is the cigar rolling stores along the way which were something unexpected and very interesting.

We had never been to Tampa and did not know anything about Ybor City. We needed a hotel to overnight before our cruise going ... out of Tampa. The location is funky, lots of fun restaurants within walking distance. Took the tram to the port and watched the Gaspiralla festivities. We normally stay in corporate type hotels, this was fun and the area was great for people watching.

My stay at the Hampton Inn was a very pleasurable experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. ... The location was great, the room spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was a shuttle to the Port of Tampa where we were cruising. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location of this hotel was great for those attending concerts or events at the Forum. The evening we stayed there, many ... fellow concert-goers were also booked overnight at this establishment. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean, with one big exception. The bathroom did not smell clean. The walk-in shower sprayed water all over the floor and my guess is that there was mold & mildew causing the smell. I commented on this issue to the clerk when checking out. He was responsive and removed the parking charge from our bill as a courtesy. I was glad to not have to pay the $7.00 PLUS TAX just to park in the hotel's parking garage. That's another down side to staying at this location.

Lots of nightlife in a decent distance from the hotel. Several different types of establishments to choose from as well. There is also a trolley system you can take to Channelside, where there are lots of different resturants, and other entertainment as well.
