Grand Hyatt - better than expected!!
The hotel was great, all the help were very friendly and social. The rooms was excellent and the view is amazing. Orbitz got an excellent rate for the level of hotel! Armani's restaurant is very beautiful but fairly a high class pretentious setting. Still interesting to check out.

Nightlife tip:
Short drive from hotel
Not much nightlife nearby so if youre planning on partying better off finding a different location. Cab to most closer party spots were around $15. Go to Bahama Breeze about a mile west of the hotel, the Pina Coloadas are AMAZING!, and dinner was good too! Fun place.

great hotel experience
This was a great hotel top to bottom. me and my wife planed a beach wedding and book a room here it was a smart decision. the HOT TUB!!! AWWW man! very relaxing great location close to the air port but not noisy at all. I would love to go back to florida soon, and if i go to tampa this hotel would be at the top of the list.

Great place! Great price! Great staff!
Great place to stay alone or with family. Friendly staff that will make it right for you. Beautiful inside, and out. Oystercatchers restaurant was great, but pricey. For the area the prices are not too bad for fine dining. I recommend the crab patties, shrimp cocktail, and gulf snapper sauteed. The other restaurants were very good, too.

Money-saving tip:
In Hotel
If you stay here you might want to rethink renting a car. They have a great staff of courtesy drivers that will pick you up and drop you off at the airport until 1:00 AM. They will also take you to nearby resaurants, and shopping. Call them with your needs before traveling and see what they can do for you. Taxis are pretty reasonable,too.

Best hotel ever
I have never had a better experience at a hotel. All the staff was extremely friendly and always knew my name. Every place we wanted to go, the front desk had printed directions to that were extremely easy to understand. Everything we needed they had and were happy to give it to us. Every night we were there, we went out to bars, and there were always cabs waiting for us outside the hotel. The pool (there are 2 but we only went to 1) was so beautiful. It has plush chairs, towels provided, and an awesome hot tub. One night, the hotel put a big screen tv by the pool and played movies. There is also a bar right next to the pool. Best trip ever.. :)

Great Hotel with a nice view.
Ive stayed at this hotel before and was very satisfied, so much in fact I even went alittle out of my way to go back. The bay view is nice, and the price has been great. Stayed for 89$ the first time, and 130$ this recent time. Hotel staff attempted to ask me to give up my bay view by saying there were none left, but quickly gave me a room on the 12th floor when I said it was important to me.

Runaway mom
Simply wonderful solo getaway
This was my first solo trip. I love this hotel! Close to airport but tucked away from the hustle and bustle. From the moment I flew in, the shuttle service was timely and friendly. A good plus..the shuttle takes you to area shopping and restaurants. I especially enjoyed the pool and the Lounge Bar...the bar staff was GREAT!..had poolside service! The room was neat, clean, and nicely decorated. The concierge service was good. I had a great getaway. Next time I will stay in a casita room! Only suggestion would be breakfast should included with the room.

Great location - great hotel!
The Hyatt Grand is close to Tampa Airport and right on the bay with beautiful views. Be sure and ask for a "bay" view. There is a shuttle that leaves and picks up from the airport every half hour starting at 5 am. The breakfast buffet is the best I've had since I can remember. Starts at 6:00 am try not to miss it. The service is very friendly, helpful and not pretenious. I wish thier casual resturant was open longer. You will enjoy this hotel!

Great Hotel!
The rooms were very nice and clean and the property had two swimming pools and a nice Nature Trail. There is also a gazebo on the Bay where you can go birdwatch or just enjoy the view of the water.
