Doubletree Guest Suites Tampa Bay

My wife and I wanted a quick get away from "normal," The room was very comfortable, the only problem was the housekeeper started knocking on the room to clean at 8 am!!!! CHECK OUT IS 12 PM. My wife and I werent very happy about that. Otherwise great hotel.

It was a perfect one nighter before our family cruise out of Tampa. We even received a free shuttle ride back from dinner at Bahama Breeze. Right on the water and close to the airport and our cruise. Thanks for everything.

This place is the best. Bar and restaurant on premises are a little pricey, but the room value is extraordinary. It is right on Tampa Bay -- the pool is heated -- the rooms are all suites with a separate sleeping area; very comfortable beds; two tv's; the staff are all nice. Complimentary shuttle to the airport, and you can park your car until you return.

Pleasant staybe. It was resort-like right on the bay. Good choice which was better than average.

The hotel is horrible for value. The Double Tree charges for EVERYTHING, even things that all the other hotels in the area are giving their customers for free. Forget free in-room Wi-Fi, it's $15.95 per day. The other hotels in the area give you free breakfast, here the coffee is $2.50 per cup, no free refills, breakfast is $14.95 for fruit and yogurt, if you want hashbrowns or anything hot it goes up to $19.95 per person. The hotel down the street, which is about the same price per day, has all these things included for free, and has free BBQ and beer on Wednesdays and Fridays. Don't expect anything complimentary from Double Tree except maybe a morning paper. The hotel is nice, clean, and close to a lot of stuff; however, there are many other hotels in the area that are equal while being better in value. By the time you count up all the extra charges, you are paying a LOT more then you budgeted for, and a lot more than you would pay if you stayed someplace else. The only positive thing is the staff. They are all very friendly, will most likely remember you by name, and the maid service is great. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are traveling on a company account and aren't paying for everything yourself.

The Guest Suites were excellent and were clean and very comfortable. The gym was great too.

The room and hotel was very nice...but having to pay anything for bottled water and high speed internet was not a good thing AT ALL!

The hotel was awesome. We spent 3 nights in this hotel and everything was perfect. I really recomend this hotel to stay.

Back Operation

The hotel was in a great location for our company conference. The room was really clean and nice. Most of the staff was nice with the exeption of two people. One was an older man that was at the front desk and gave us a hard time about getting the shuttle to take us to the office and the other was a young man that was the bartender that got pretty snippy when we were asking about closing time. The bar closed at 11 which was a negative since there is nothing else close to the hotel. We ended up renting a car, we drove to Ybor City to look around and also made it to the beach which was beautiful. Bahama Breeze was the closest restuarant to the hotel which we walked to and the food was fantastic.
