Days Inn Tampa/ West of Busch Gardens

Well, where to start. The room wasn't what I expected. It was dirty and the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming, you could even smell it on the sheets. There wasn't a decent amount of power outlets to charge a cellphone or laptop, so I had to unplug the alarm clock which was plugged into an outlet on the wall at the back of the bed, which meant moving the mattress a little bit just to get some space for my charger to fit. The A/C kind of worked; it looked busted up. Guests are given the password to the WiFi that didn't work, so after many attempts to try to get it to work I gave up and stuck with my cellphone. Didn't get sleep at night. The hotel is located right behind a Taco Bell that is open I believe 24 hours, if not then open late. People that go to the drive through have their music blaring way past midnight, maybe even 2am. There are other guests that would slam doors and yell around that time of night, which made me feel uneasy and unsafe. It was that bad I had to check out a day early could not take another night; gave it a chance for 2 nights and was done. The staff were polite and helpful, didn't interact much with them though. The only positive thing I have to say is that its location is perfect. It's just a short drive, even a good walk to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island. It's also surrounded by gas stations and restaurants, i.e. Taco Bell, Olive garden, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's.

It was decent it jus needs a little more tlc and it would be amazing.

The room has bugs, there is a pile of dust behind the bed. The tub and sink doesn't drain very well. The mini fridge needs to be cleaned, there are cracks in the wall. To be completely honest this place looks like it hasn't been throughly or deeply cleaned in a long time. I would go somewhere else next time I visit Tampa. Location-wise its good but if you are going to Busch Gardens there are several other options just as close. Their photos are very deceiving.

Other than the location there isn't much "good" to say. Staff unfriendly, didn't clean our room one day, beds hard and uncomfortable. Cobb webs on lights, dirt and hair in bathroom. Hair on carpet that was clearly no one of the family. We will pay more for better hotels next time. Do not recommend.

Room was not available on time and had to come back and check in late. Very uncomfortable bed and overall not very clean. The price was reasonable but very disappointed. I've stayed in Days Inn before and nothing like this one. Would not stay here again

Maybe it's because they deal with so many visitors due to being across the street from Busch Gardens; but the man at the desk didnt greet me when I entered. I stood there for awhile while he worked on the computer; a simple I will be with you in shortly would have been sufficient. I found the office people to be kinda rude or indifferent, they could use some customer service refresher. The room was nothing special and while it had a microwave and a fridge, I had to plug them in. The television was really small and was very surprised by that; the smallest one I own was bigger than the one provided in the room. Overall I will not stay at this hotel again.

good overall, only negative is that unless you are going to Busch gardens not much else close by.

Worked for what we needed it for. Short 2 night stay for Howl-o-Scream.

I had to change rooms 2 times; rooms are musty, moldy and old. They smell bad and are dirty. The bedding was gross. The room was so humid and dingy the bedding felt wet. Curtains in the first room had mold on them! I stayed here because of it's location to Busch Gardens and price.....but the small savings from other area hotels wasn't worth it at all. Also, normal amenities such as iron/ironing board aren't included. They required a $20 cash deposit and a long walk to/from the front desk. Huge let down.

overall the stay was good about 15-20 min from anywhere you would like to go,right around the corner from plenty of places to eat,other than that it was an ok stay i did get my ipod stolen from the room put in a complaint and they just brushed it off
