The employees were friendly, the continental breakfast pretty good, but the motel was not very clean. There were roaches in the room. [...]advertised refrigerator and microwave, but there was only a refrigerator. It was rated one and one-half stars [...] and that was accurate. The proximity to the freeway was one positive aspect.

Place is a dump.

Days Inn Bush Gardens North is a dump that should be condemned. Rooms are filthy. Items are broken. Front desk does not respond to calls. While we frequently stayed at Days Inn in the past, we will never stay at another Days Inn. We cancelled our remaining 2 nights and moved to another motel. We also cancelled to other reservations we made at other Days Inn locations on this 2 week trip. Most of guest we met were complaining about the cleanliness, lack of staff. There was no breakfast and we did not see any staff present to provide it. Front desk staff was on the phone, ignoring guests. Front desk staff had difficulty with the English language. Days Inn management has no quality control over their facilities.

Misleading

I choose this place thinking it was close to Busch Gardens (since it was in the advertising title). It is not even close. Once I figured that out I booked a place right across the street and choose to eat the amount I pre-paid for the room

Smelly Hotel

[...] As soon as we walked into the dirty, smelly hotel room, my allergies kicked in and I almost couldn't breath. We left. [...]We actually attempted to remedy this issue outselves by asking for another room. The clerk stated that the musty smell was in all of the rooms. We left Tampa and went ahead and drove the 2 hrs back to Orlando. [...] I noticed now that most of your Days Inn reviews of Tampa as not pleasant.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

There is nothing around Bush Gardens that warrants a second look. Outside the park is a seedy area. We went several exits down I-4 and the neighborhoods were overrun. We traveled all the way down to exit 6 to the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. The area around the casino is just delapidated. Ughhhh

You get what you pay for...

We got 2 rooms, which we requested to be adjacent, but were several doors away (one room for our boys, one for us). Our room had cobwebs, a broken clock. The other room had a poorly working AC unit. When we arrived at midnight, the 2nd room had the door wide open, with a very warm room, and poor ac. The next morning, we asked for AC repair and a working clock--they took care of both. We also asked for additional pillows, but no extra were provided. The highlight was a good continental breakfast, complete with a waffle station. The hotel is in a seedy part of town, with people hanging out that don't inspire trust... (wink) The ice machine on the 3rd floor had a sign that it was broken--go to the1st or 2nd floor--the 2nd floor machine was broken as well....then, the elevator going back up to the 3rd floor wouldn't run.... This place needs a million dollar make-over--STAT!!!!

There is a Days INN that is much closer to Busch Gardens, right on Busch Street--check that one out.

Cool, quiet, comfortable

Stayed for 2 nights in June. The staff were courteous and quickly helped me check in and find me my room. I had a King size bed with microwave, fridge, desk, and tv. The bathroom even had a hair dryer. The room itself was clean and cool. I could not hear any noise from my neighbors. I have read other reviews that commented on how loud and noisy it gets. This I found to be natural as the buildings in the back parking lot surround the pool in a cloistered manner. I met friendly people there who were enjoying themselves after a long day. One guy even gave me a beer.
